The Soul Hunter series really delivers a good perspective on what it's like to serve as an important slave in the Thrall of a Traitor, been reading that lately and loving it. As for your Mic set up, I think your sound clarity and overall tonal balance sounds good! The biggest thing I can suggest to focus on with any microphone is Isolation. Can't tell you how many egg cartons and soundproof foam I glued to my walls trying to get good Isolation, just for me to go record vocals in a coat closet and have the clearest audio I'd ever captured haha. Other than that, sounding good my friend! The overall mix might be a tad on the quiet side, I usually balance around +6 Db for vocals, but that's all subjective and relative to who you're recording, and where you are. Keep doing what you do, and I'll be a happy camper.

@@rustyshillford1967 I wouldn't say he's doing anything wrong at all, there aren't really right and wrong answers in music it's about what sounds good coming back through the speakers. It just helps to know some techniques for getting a good sound on vocals. Without knowing the setup and plug in chain it's hard to make helpful recommendations but from what I can hear it could definitely benefit from some more compression, limiting, a bit more de-essing, a touch of EQ, and some saturation on the vocal to make it pop, and be a bit denser and intimate.

Prince I am trying to remember a reading you did. All i've got is this planet was getting durkharied and they asked for astartes and got a small detachment of chapter based on salamanders maybe. The whole time the human PDF kept getting slaughtered and they were all really mad because the space marines were not joining defense or anything. At the very end the marines executed their plan and encircled and destroyed all the enemy. Remember this from anywhere? Ok maybe not salamanders successor IDK. I know beyond any doubt this is something you did read on the channel.

So growing up(let's say I'm twenty-five) and I read this weird book that I believe was 40 k.( I was maybe 10)It was about chaos marines mostly and a castle that held a demon. Towards the end some bad@ss pulled the sword out of the stone in the cave and the whole planet was a chaos demon. I believed they spelled it daemon honestly, I most ask now days in the hope it was not a dream. Some thing about an emerald sword....

Great story and excellent narration. Chaos is necessary to 40k, but it makes me laugh when I hear people go on about how they love Chaos, how it's so cool, how they'd be down with Chaos, etc. I mean seriously, do they actually believe Chaos would give a fuck about them? I can promise it wouldn't, nor would they become Chaos marines or all the other usual bullshit claims people make. Nope, as a pathetic baseline human they'd end up being horribly murdered with as much pain and suffering as possible to power some horrible ceremony, or being corrupted into some hideous monster that can't even survive in the real world as happened to the people in this story. Or if you were lucky you might end up as a cultist being used as cannon fodder, but that's literally the best case scenario as those are the only uses Chaos has for 99% of baseline humans and it's just conceit and stupidity for anyone to think they'd be treated any differently. In fact I think it would be very revealing to watch all the Chaos fans who say such things fall into the hands of Chaos if it were real and listen to them scream and cry and beg for mercy as they're being dragged away to a death more horrific than they can even imagine. In that instant I'd like to ask them "What's wrong? You don't think Chaos is cool anymore?"
