Vortimer is fine, losing three lemans is just bad tank driving. People need to stop getting the plasma executioner because it encourages a high risk dive mindset to get the most out of the short range high damage weapon. Vanquisher is seriously fine against infantry if you treat it like a sniper. Always be at the edge of max range and it will find a model to peel off while being well positioned to retreat into the fog of war.

Vortimer is like an M2 Bradley, which can take on T-90's and handily win.

There was only one video account of a bradley taking on a T-90, and it literally did no damage to the vehicle, the crew then drove it into a tree and abandoned the T-90

I dont know why but I felt the urge to track down what exactly killed the sentinel. I believe it was the DH plus the strike squad, not the inquisitors.

Also, LG retinue members and armors are seriously underrated. Melta LG with full retinue is a beast capable of chasing tanks and FOTMing them to death thanks to increased speed from vox operator while tanking tons of damage using the commie bubble. Stabilisers are also great to keep your cata blob healthy, it heals catas with ridiculous speed, and you still have your sergeant medpack to give to one of the catas as well. Flak jacket would make these impact nades useless as well

I absolutely forgot that storm troopers have melta upgrade, I think I'd rather go for them when I saw dread(they would be more usefull vs vorti too), but space marine reflex to buy las cannon kicked in. Dont know shit about LG wargear, so switched between 3 I know. The only ig strategy I know is 1 gm -> sent -> 2 catachans(except double gm + sent ofc), so went for it blindly, Baton got OM, and I think 2 catas worked pretty well vs them (to be fair, are there cases where catachans underperform?). The game turned out to be fun, no rage that I would usualy get from defeat.

2 cata would be suicide Vs 3 shuri eldar. And ork can punish it too with fast lootas esp if not warboss. But yeah, it is particularly good Vs OM since they are so reliant on melee. 2x cata makes it hard to win in melee or range Vs the IG. Las Vs melta is always tough. Vs walkers las is usually better but it does scale poorly Vs tanks. I think on the Laney maps the last is better but on big maps like this where you may have less AvA fights and transport/tanks are more liable to bring isolated melta storms can shine.

Tbf though, it wasn't a 1v1, you do need to snare the tank first which isn't that easy and the first lemon is an Excutioner which is a notable downgraded in term of anti-vehicle capability. Replacing the Razorback with a Prism and I think they would have fallen either way with that kind of play. But honestly I kind of agree with the change. I actually like the early version of OM where it's the Las Rhino that do some of the most serious AV damage and Vort is just an infantry skirmisher with some soft AV potential. By lore, Vort isn't AV at all, they are anti-demon (fire the literal silver bullets, imagine how effective those are against tanky steel.) I think OM are way too weak against Chaos atm, eventhough arguably they are more balance this way. But I really wish Vort can be fleshed out more to do what they are designed to do - maybe splash and lower damage against vehicle but deal the same or maybe even more damage to everything with demon keyword, including Chaos Predator with mark (the counter is to just not get a mark against OM. )

17dps battle cannon vs 33 executioner vs 36 vanquisher. So the executioner is actually significantly better than the default cannon at AV. As I've mentioned many times the default cannon is utter trash and should be swapped out ASAP. Furthermore the splash on the executioner lets you sometimes proc rear armour hits even from the front. Las-rhino was always mid AV anyway it does literally the same damage as the missile sentinel to keep things in perspective. Of course the big advantage is that it fires on the move, though if anything is closer to it than the target vehicle whilst moving then it will fire at them instead... By lore it is as AV as a heavy bolter I guess which is... something... but yeah trading with leman russ is quite absurd. I like that they have this option though rather than just having their own copy/paste predator. Keyword balance is tough. It has been debated. People like symmetry too much in the balance mod though so it is unlikely to present itself more often than it already does with GK terms passively doing more to BL/GUO/Ava with their upgrade.

This is a 17 minute game to be honest. Everything from after that, is a ride down the hill and one sided spoiler... After the first fully upgraded leman died and vortimer lived the game was over, on top of that a second leman also died. this should have been a 20 minute game at the most
