NOt bad. With this and the newest space hulk game, and I suppose the Space Marine game from a few years ago, the franchise is nearly at the best place to make the best 40K game yet. Its just gotta be more of an rpg where you can choose factions and roam the galaxy, not turn based or shooter games anymore.

I was amazed at how liberally he used teleportation, given that every trip is a near unprotected jump through daemon infested warp space. Even Space Marines are loath to use unnecessary teleportation because of its risk.

What alot of 40k games don't get is when you play a single player game in a warhammer game. You are not a primarch. You are just a normal unit and often with limited resources. It should play like a real survival horror where fighting anything is a significant use of resources.

@@izznoogood power armour is just particularly strong armour. Its not invulnerable. Enough concentrated fire and render it useless. And even if the guy has a vast armoury. You can't actually take that whole thing with you. You have to feasibly get what you can carry and plan the best you can with what you got. Hence why I say go for the survival horror angle. Because to start with you'll be kitted out pretty well. But you're eventually gonna just run out of ammo, your auspex would run low on energy. Your iron halo will run out of energy and eventually your plasma weapons will run out of charge. And good luck finding compatible ammo with your mastercrafted exotic gear. Nah if a single player game in 40k would ever make sense. Its survival horror as you constantly scrounge for gear and ammo as you go and you need to be really careful about using it and dealing with unfeasible numbers. I don't give a crap if you got ultra marine plot armour. A normal marine would struggle against daemons, if not outrightly defeated. A human, no matter how badass an inquisitor is gonna get their ass handed to them. There's a reason, they use death watch instead of just training lots of inquisitors.
