One would think that with all the "Latinized" names of the other positions, someone would have come up with a rank structure that's a little more catchy than the standard trooper, sergeant, lieutenant, captain, etc.
@GrimDarkNarrator7 жыл бұрын
Well they do have different names on different planets but I guess its easier for the English readers to associate themselves with those standardized terms.

Hope to see plenty more lore videos on the imperial guard 👍

Imperial Guardsmen survived after 15 hours: Senior Veteran. Imperial Guardsmen survived after 15 years: Governor Militant.

Yeah.... that's accurate 😅

Given how much the average youtube lore consumer would know about the 40k universe, if we happened to be inducted into the guard, it wouldn't take much time at all for an Inquisitor to hear about this random trooper spouting off about Great Secrets and ending our trip towards the role of the Lord Commander Militant in short order. If we'd be lucky, we might end up in a little room some where, being promised a place on a pleasure world if we happened to spill all that we knew about the Galaxy as it stands, before having a sanctioned psyker flip through the folds of your brain for crumbs.

I had to race to this video after getting the bad ending of Final Liberation. Apparently I was the "Lord Commander Militant" the whole time. No wonder I could boss around a "Commander Commissar" Holt.

the line that says even the mightiest army is futile if it’s force cannot be bought to muster quickly enough is entirely accurate even for the real armed forces of the world if they are unable to muster quick enough then they are a waste of time and resources etc as the enemy forces will overrun them easily but if they are strong and able to muster quickly enough they can drive back any attacking forces and survive like during ww2 for example when U.S. marines were dropped behind enemy lines and had no backup to help them with being outnumbered by enemy forces on multiple flanks they somehow held their positions and stayed alive until the enemy forces between them and reinforcements were destroyed with very decent survival when most never thought they could have a chance of surviving as long as they did that among other events was one of the reasons the axis forces called them devil dogs since to the axis forces it seemed like they were fighting an endless flood of identical enemies with no end in sight and that terrified the axis forces to their cores as they killed relentlessly but never seemed to reach the end of the marines troops and were eventually either killed or captured by the allied forces yet if the axis forces had been able to muster quickly enough they might have been able to eliminate the marines from all sides at once and then reinforce their front lines which might have possibly made a difference in how ww2 ended with the allied forces winning the war etc but who can say for sure on if that would have made the end result of ww2 any different it’s just one of those things that we might never know the answer to after all before the start of ww2 the german armed forces were one of the most powerful forces in the world the three biggest errors the axis forces made in my personal opinion during ww2 were 1. THEY PRIORITISED QUALITY OVER QUANTITY OF VEHICLES E.G. TANKS. WHICH AS A RESULT MEANT THAT IT COST MORE RESOURCES PER VEHICLE THAN IT NEEDED TO AND THAT RESULTED IN A LACK OF RESOURCES SO LIMITED THE NUMBER OF AXIS COMBAT VEHICLES AFTER WHICH THEY HAD TO FIND A FRESH RESOURCES SUPPLY AND THAT TAKES US TO THE SECOND ERROR 2.AS THE AXIS NEEDED A FRESH SUPPLY OF RESOURCES TO CONSTRUCT MORE AIR AND LAND COMBAT VEHICLES THEY ATTEMPTED TO CONQUER RUSSIA BUT THAT WAS ONE OF THE TWO WORST DECISIONS THEY COULD HAVE MADE AS RUSSIA USED KATYUSHA ROCKET ARTILLERY AND AS A RESULT ALL GERMAN FORCES TRYING TO INVADE RUSSIA WERE EASILY ANNIHILATED WITH FEW RUSSIAN LOSSES FOR THE MOST PART AT LEAST AS ARTILLERY WAS ONE OF RUSSIA’S STRONG POINTS AT THE TIME ETC AND FINALLY ON TO THE THIRD ERROR 3. PEARL HARBOUR ATTACK THE ATTACK ON THE U.S. FORCES AT PEARL HARBOUR BY THE JAPANESE DURING WW2 WAS POSSIBLY THE BIGGEST ERROR THE AXIS FORCES MADE FOR ONE THING IF THEY HAD SCOUTED THE AMERICAN SHIPS AT PEARL HARBOUR PRIOR TO THE ATTACK THEY WOULD HAVE REALISED THAT THE CARRIERS WERE NOT THERE AT THE TIME AND IF WISE WOULD HAVE WAITED FOR THEM TO DOCK THEN ATTACKED TO SINK THE MAIN STRENGTH OF THE US NAVY WHICH ARRIVED ON THE FOLLOWING DAY

amazing once again, could you do a lore video on lord solar macharius?
@GrimDarkNarrator7 жыл бұрын
That's a good idea, since it doesn't relate to any major lore I need to introduce first. I'll try to do it relatively soon and maybe put it in an Imperial Heroes series.

I don’t know if i would call a driver of a tank a senior position. Definitely not the rank of CPL. I can understand the gunner of a tank to be a CPL though.

So, the Kasrkin are the only ones physically augmented in the Astra Militarum? If i remember correctly, they get minor biological augmentation.
@GrimDarkNarrator7 жыл бұрын
To my knowledge, the Kasrkin were just put through stupendous levels of training and then given some of the best gear available. I'll say more about them when I make a separate video on them :)
