Might be related to the whole Sanguinor vs the dark angel thing from the warp. Mephiston became the avatar of the dark angel and it was said that the Sanguinor was losing that fight that was described the fight for the fate of the blood angels. and Dante turning from Blonde to Dark hair in the rubicon could be physical representation of that fact. But again complete speculation since there is no lore coverage from his ascencion to primaris.

the thing about the blood ravens being kleptomaniacs comes from how there's a ton of stuff being attributed to other chapters that you can find in dawn of war 2 like you said, but the thing that people always miss is that you're not supposed/able to recieve all of it in a single playthrough, since they randomly drop. so for a single player's individual experience, you should really only come across 1-2 pieces of wargear that say they were gifted by another chapter, however when you look at them all in the big picture that gifted quality starts to show up a lot. so it gets blown way out of proportion by looking at it all at once, when a player was never meant to see it all at once, and so the "canon" of what stuff the blood ravens actually had was meant to differ from playthrough to playthrough.

I mean while true, at the same time, there's tidbits in the flavour text of the relics that also build up the meme that they might have illegitimately collected relics from other chapters. Example: Pistol of Baal - A unique Mark III Bolt Pistol, this relic has the trademark bloody teardrop of the Blood Angels stamped upon the pistol's grip. The Chapter's records indicate that this weapon was acquired during a ceremonial exchange of arms between themselves and the Blood Angels in the 37th Millennium, though oddly, the Blood Angels possess no records of such an exchange

The fact that everything has to be named after wolves to a point where we need a lore (or head canon Idk) explanation for why is pretty funny. Also if you think 2010 is worthy of a "back then" you are too young to be in such a discussion mate. That is still recent as far as history is concerned. A werewolf is an apex predator that takes out vampires by the dozen. That is their mythology. They are hate, anger, and bloodlust rolled up into a creature that is designed to hunt relentlessly. A furry is a goofball with unnatural hair that gets upset by misgendering and other woke nonsense. The problem with space wolves is so many of the authors lost sight of the actual direction they were originally designed in. They were supposed to have units names after various viking things, and DID when they were first released. They had scout units called Munin and Hugin that were robot bird drones. They had Swords of Surtur that belched flames upon stabbing them in the enemy. They even had a 'raiding party' rule where if one marine charged you could have every single marine around him charge as a single action (meaning free movement for all the others). They had combat bikes named Sleipnir (Odin's 8 legged horse) that had their own unique rules and extra sets of guns other bikes didn't have. Then there was the 'All-Father's Sight' upgrade you could do to unit commanders as an upgrade to their helmet that upped the accuracy for the entire squad. The authors and GW being idiots is why everything got renamed to wolf this and wolf that. Which ruined the vibe of the whole legion as being way to on the nose from what it was. The whole reason they were named Space Wolves was from the phrase "Wolves of Odin" and had nothing to do with actual wolves in the first place. The guy that created the Space Wolves sadly didn't get to be the one to keep naming and creating their units however.

All the standout space marine characters are the ones like guill, fabious, Dante, the lion (in the new book not in HH), the night lords etc don't buy into the imperiums bs and are actually interesting characters with personality that isn't just. "I'm a big broody bad ass who loves to fight and is a good soldier and burns heritics and always is loyal or else I die. Cain, trayzin, oregan, yvraine, many guard characters, typhuis, the characters from watcher in the rain, ghaz, yarrick, the silent king, oltyx, lelith and Caul are all amazing characters but instead of expanding on them or having them interact with each other in any way. We get more generic space marines.

It's pretty telling that MajorKill is unsure about the blueberry commie meme. To everyone who isn't chronically American it's pretty obvious that the meme originates from the fact that the average American is almost criminally ignorant on the subject of communism. Which leads them to interpret every society not consisting of hyper-individualistic, government-haters, where there is any sort of larger communal solidarity or sense of purpose or where (le gaspe) government is largely seen as a positive as "communist". And since the Tau are the only faction in 40 to both have a society at all (as opposed to the nids) and is a little less indivudualistic than the other factions (except maybe the feudal necrons), they got slapped with the label "communist". To be clear, they have basically no communist influences in their design as far as I can tell, regardless if we are talking about what the Soviets or China erroneously called communism or actual communism. As far as I can tell, thry are modelled much more on a mix of medieval Chinese confusianism and indian caste society. Neither of which had anything whatsoever to do with communism.

I think the best example for the Orks is in “The Siege of Casrellax” an Iron Warrior ate an Ork pilot’s brain in order to fly an Ork bomber to relative safety and the controls consisted of start, fast, faster, fastest with no breaks, and a lot of parts a normal plane would need missing, the Orks can takeoff, dog fight, and land no problem… except for standard Orky nonsense usually resulting in a good laugh from other Orks

Passages from "Angel Exterminatus" and "Slaves To Darkness" reference that Perturabo's soul is being siphoned in a way that resembles what happens to the Drukhari. Some theorize that Perturabo has been missing from the setting, because he didn't ACTUALLY go daemon. In his refusal to bend to Chaos, he's been spending his time trying to stop, or circumvent that siphoning. Essentially turning himself into a Dreadnought. Others say that he just kind of decided, "fukkit" and went daemon because it was the only way. Backed into a corner, similarly to Magnus and Mortarion. But the quote about how Perturabo and The Iron Warriors want to force order upon Chaos really reminded me of a different theory. There's that one theory that talks about how the Emperor was ACTUALLY actively seeking Godhood. He wanted to become a fifth Chaos God, and basically be a Chaos God of "Order" This is such a tin-foil hat, cooked conspiracy, that I think could be somewhat correct for no other reason than the fact that it is so insanely, "wtf" But here it is; I would open up the theory by referencing to the fight between Guilliman, and Mortarion. Where the Emperor basically possessed Guilliman's body to completely dunk on Mortation. The biggest thing that pressed Perturabo to go traitor, was his jealousy and anger towards Dorn. By the time we get to the Siege of Terra, Perturabo is kind of done with everybody's bullshit. But just stayed traitor because he was just kind of way too invested at this point. He was over all of the bullshit, so he busted up the palace and basically said, "Alright, cool, I've fulfilled my oath, I upheld my end of the bargain, I don't really have anything else for y'all, GLHF." withdrawing all of his forces and ragequitting. Perturabo regretted going traitor after he saw how far his brothers plunged into madness. But it isn't like he could ever come back to the Imperium. I would also like to note the Fulgrim clone. The Fulgrim clone was perfect. Since his original body got yoinked by the daemon. And then there was the Horus clone. The Horus clone was a little piece of shit. But the Fulgrim clone was LITERALLY him. The Primarchs are not their bodies. The Primarchs are their souls. Perturabo's soul is being siphoned / eaten away. And he regrets going traitor. Perturabo and the Emperor have such a hardcore anti-god/anti-warp mindset. What if Perturabo comes back as like, an "avatar of order", the Emperor is filling the gap of Perturabo's soul. Emperor is channeling himself through Perturabo in a way. Or similarly to the Sanguinor, what if Perturabo comes back as like, "an imperial daemon"? Writing this has also made me consider another conspiracy that is a MILLION times more cooked. Vashtorr is such an interesting Chaos entity. This dude doesn't play around. He doesn't do deceptive-daemon shit. He just has a good time being the arms dealer of Chaos. Just chilling at The Forge Of Souls making stuff, and the Chaos Gods don't really mess with him, cause I mean, he literally makes their shit, so they can't really get rid of him. The warp is completely unstable.The Chaos Gods have to begrudgingly accept his existence because of how influential he is. This lad literally binds lesser daemons to his will via contract. And Perturabo is known for his expert craftsmanship, and innovation. Vashtorr owes no allegiance to anything but himself. Even the high and mighty all-powerful pantheon of Chaos is essentially stuck kneeling to The Arkifane due to his purpose. What if Perturabo found a way to master the Warp...? What if he truly found a way to dominate it? What if Vashtorr IS Perturabo? Vashtorr is just a version of Perturabo from the future, finding Vashtorr in the current setting due to a combination of time shenanigans, and warp spaghetti. Or Vashtorr is a version of Perturabo from an alternative universe/timeline/reality. Or at the very least, due to the soul drainage it might not be Perturabo COMPLETELY, but what if there are just pieces / remnants of Perturabo within Vashtorr? Kind of like how Magnus was shattered into the various shards. Those shards are incredibly powerful, with Malcedor literally creating The Gray Knights using them. So what if it's something somewhat similar?

For someone to figure out why there is a correlation betwenn Tau and comunist. Just look to the coment section on any video about Tau made by 40k facts for example. The meme came with the fact that they like to project the beliefs about socialism and comunism in Tau. Honestly, part of me wonders if Alpharius actually is alive, as a drmon primarch. Perturabo definitely killed Fulgrim during the angel exterminatus events, but doing that is what allowed fulgrim to complete his transformation. Alpharius wasn't actively trying for it, but he could have possibly become a mass intelligence that can assume control of any legionnaires who have donned the persona of Alpharius in whatever mission they are carrying out. In essence, every alpha legionnaire following alpharius' aims literally is alpharius until alpharius no longer needs them to be.
