Hey Mr. JOW! I like the way your resolved the "Raising" of the Transquarkian Peasant Light Spears! They might not be much to look at... but I'm sure the Bromans appreciate the reinforcement! The Battle Of Waystop Inn, pitting Force Archangel against Force Julius will have some interesting tactical options for both sides. Meanwhile, Undead Force Desdemona will be faced with a difficult choice... stay where they are at to shield Castle Gallagher and hope Force Banquo shows up on their flank, OR slip away to aid Force Julius... crush Force Archangel... then hurry back towards the Castle! (It is very similar to the Napoleonic Strategy of the "Central Position"! We will see if the Vampire Lord is as successful as The Little Corporal!) Great stuff all around!

Hey Jon, thanks for the shout-out! (Purple Druid, apparently YT has changed the way usernames are shown) I am going to make a short video about those event cards, but I can't take all the credit. Henry Hyde did the layout for them, and they're available as a download if you purchased his book. It's funny you mention that DnD is a war game. I've actually been using these cards in my Tonisborg campaign! I love how random event generators can inspire cool narrative additions to these games. Re: Meeting Engagement deployment - it seems Force Archangel's scouts were ranging ahead & spotted the undead marching up the road. This info gave Archangel a bit of time to set up a defensive line across the road... Are you going to pick 3 defense strategies & roll for which one? Great video, I just love these Campaign Management exercises! I'm getting excited about the Campaign Carnival in July.

Good stuff. I ran something like this using a hex map and the Solo Wargaming book for some faction players in my B/X campaign back in February. It was a ton of fun, and you have me itching to do it again.

Most excellent video. Your videos always give me great new ideas. Some would say I have too much terrain on my table right now but the humans are invading a rest, holy area. Its a spiritual area for my Orcs. A place of faith. they love their trees and bushes and rocks Sticking up out of the ground. They do not like uninvited visitors. Humans had no idea whats in front of them or that the Orcs knew they were coming. Their ships were sighted days ago. Thanks for gor the inspiration

You could maybe use Men-at-Arms from the Bretonnian army list in Ravening Hordes for the peasants, though I think they would be functionally the same as Empire troops without armour/shields.

My heart is broken! I was so hoping that you'd switch to Dragon Rampant for the Peasants' Uprising. Perhaps not a dawn attack, but Scenario J from Rebels and Patriots, using the DR rules in the middle of a WFB campaign would be a definite "hey - when you do a campaign, you can do whatever you want" statement. Admittedly, translating forces and losses between systems might require some fudging, but it'd all come out in the wash. And, while I'm offering all sorts of annoying commentary from the peanut gallery, that "clean bottoms" result...perhaps translating that to "Bromans discover enough boats and rafts to move a force along the big river". Just some alternative thoughts; I would emphasize that your ideas in developing the campaign, and organically letting it meander are awesome! Love watching this series!

A bridge too far, complexity lies. And I've never been entirely comfortable with how it fits into the rest of the campaign framework. We're already selecting strategies at random, which means Commander competency doesn't really factor in. Once we get to the tabletop, Warhammer cells as a game you can play two fisted. Part of the fun of the game is looking for optimal strategies. Commander competency shackles the player from being able to do that.
