The game is amazing, been playin for 2 years. You'll love it. Make use of that dodge button, and listen for the audio cues. There's a sound when somethin is about to hit you in the back as well as specific cues for every special (trappers/flamers/dogs/etc). Most of the rest is just play time, getting a feel for all the weapons/marks and how each functions best and making the most of them in your build. It gets insane later. Like literally 100x as much coming at you all with 3x the health and damage. Its just nuts how crazy it gets.

Also bought the game. Visuals are striking but the game needs a stability patch as its a bit stuttery. The game is quite cool and fun and the environments are so bloody awesome to look at.

Don't get your hopes up, been playing this for over a year on series X, it has been like this for atleast a year now and whenever i mention the stability isseus it is either denied, a connection isseu on my parts, or i am told my xbox has problems, i have no problems with any other game than darktide, it is worth trying to put your console in the DMZ, it has improved the stability slightly but i think the stuttering is their server and not the actual game if that makes sense, on pc it is better but also far from perfect.

@@MrShadowofthewind Yeah an unfortunate byproduct of enjoying games from smaller studios is you have to endure issues like this whether it's the game itself or the net code but regardless we'll likely never see it patched at this point, they're only adding more to the game which will affect stability. Personally I think it runs fine, I never feel like the performance is negatively impacting my ability to enjoy the game... dumb team mates on the other hand... 😬

@@OllORage From my experience yeah dude Darktide runs great all round in my opinion. There are frame drops in certain instances when things get extremely intense on harder difficulties but nothing that's game breaking, as you see in the video it's pretty stable and very pretty especially if you've got a 4K display!

So I'm a PC player with 200hrs and while this is not the fault of anyone posting day 1 gameplay this game on the last difficultly, Damnation, can get extremely intensive because there will be hundreds of enemies swarming you in a given room. I would wait a little bit before purchasing based on performance

@@yakiin9313 Bro folk on pc have been playing for near 4 years, we haven't had 4 days yet.. most folk won't even reach anc grind damnation it will only be the top tier hardcore players so I wouldn't worry about that just yet. On a base level the game is great fun and for £30 in this day and age it's definitely still worth the gamble.

The performance on the Pro specifically is great, other than a few minor frame drops during absolute madness it's running fantastic. It's gonna be really interesting to see if this game starts to blow up due to the recent success and popularity of Space Marine 2.. time will tell.

@@michaelschneider1365 Doom the Dark Ages looks fantastic I myself have that wishlisted too! As for your decision it's a tough one, both Space Marine 2 and Darktide are both fantastic games personally speaking, obviously one is 3rd person the other 1st person so it depends on your favoured style. Space Marine 2 has more budget, a full cinematic campaign etc but 3 man teams.. if you're someone who has a strong group of 3 other friends then Darktide fits perfectly. Ultimately depends on what's important to you regarding gameplay loop and longevity and also the price, Space marine 2 is in Black Friday Sales right now for almost 50% off in some retailers but will then jump back to £60/$60 where as Darktide is always £30 new.. food for thought brother!

I’m also thinking about wwz so I don’t know. I wish doom was out. lol lol. I also know nothing and don’t follow anything about warhammer. It does seem cool.

@@mcgiroud1920 From what I can see from my version no bro, surprisingly this game had no options for that unless its coming on Dec 3rd with the full launch update. It just runs 4K 60 as standard.. I have no idea how it performs on standard PS5 sadly 🤷🏻

There is a difference playing the game on a real 4K display, these videos go through two lots of compression before they're live on YT. Hopefully digital foundry do a thorough breakdown at some point.

@@Scar-w8z Not locked at 60 sadly, during absolute carnage there is a drop in frames but nothing so far that has impacted my experience in a negative way. I can't speak for standard PS5 mind you, on the Pro I'm really pleased with the overall performance of the game.

I'm level 28 and to be honest , I'm already bored. Few weapons, few characters, few opportunities for character and weapon development.The game in general with potential , but it's the same as Vermintide 2. Get to the endgame and why continue playing when everything is done to the full? Pointless.
