Thanks for the overview! Altdorf is a quite fun nation to play in SP. It kind of forces you to actually play with the different magic paths, and figure out how to make them work against what you're actually fighting - there are less options for just throwing heavy thugs or SCs at the big AI stacks, which is often an easy cheese against them. However, you don't have to worry too much about battlefield wipes or remotes, so your low hp units are quite as vulnerable later on.

A few suggestions on pretenders to consider for inclusion in Altdorf, based on just what vibes I get: Fits well, frequently featured on heraldry: Solar Eagle, Demiurge, various winged hybrids (Celestial Gryphon, Criosphinx etc), Golden Lion, Solar Serpent. Fits well with national themes: Earth Serpent, Great Archon, Titan of Forethought, Titan of Heaven, Divine Glyph. Is in the ballpark but not quite as fitting: Dragon (red), Father of Winters, Thrice-Horned Boar, Great White Bull, Bronze Colossus, Titan of Heaven, Golden Idol, , Serpent of the Underworld, Phoenix.

Something that really tweaked Distant Horizon during his single player of altdorf was the lack of foot slots on wizard lords that prevented the use of earth boots, leaving only the bloodstone to boost earth. Any thoughts on that?

It’s a fair point, but that is just how mounted wizards in dominions work and you still have e3 access. I don’t really regard it as a problem. It’s worth knowing though.

Just one observation regarding unit stats: I think you've done a good job in translating Warhammer Fantasy Battle units stats into its Dominions counterpart stats, but one jarring case is the Demigryph Knights. They have 300 percent functional HPs as regular knights on the tabletop, but here it's less than 20 percent extra. I checked some other monstrous cavalry to see if you uniformly reduces HPs for monstrous cavalry, but that's not it either. So I am puzzled why Demigrphy Knights got the discriminatory treatment.

Hmm, okay, I saw Bull Centaurs stats and thought you discriminated against Demis only, but Necropolis Knights have even fewer HPs. So I guess your approach is to ignore the mount HPs if the monstrous cavalry unit is ridden? I am not sure this distinction is tenable.

Some of their hp exists in their second form. They’re also smaller in dominions

A few people have asked me for this but I generally don’t like making pretenders. It’s possible I might do it at some point though.
