Pretty cool that the dark elves use their assassines that much in SP. It also shows up nicely the infinite buffing the sorcerers will go through off script.

@@Kellnaved this is a pretty common issue for mages in assassinations generally. Without other troops there to buff or a target rich environment they are more likely to do something unimpactful

Yeah but if the mage is expensive it hurts especially. I always thought that powerful mages should start battles with 1-2 "bodyguards" even if you don´t specifically assign them. Either way I am always happy when the AI actually uses some mechanics like assassinations or mind hunts etc. beyond just marching giant blobs of chaff into you. And I have to say that the army compositions seen in the video are quiet nice especially with the blood summons.

Get your research to Ench 7 - Serpents Blessing gives all your units poison resistance +10 if you wanna be a pure poison army, really worth it. Also works with going towards Gaia's Blessing Ench 9 giving you Fire +5 Lightning +5 Poison +10 Cold +5 which allows you to be real survivable with all your Skryre inventions yes! yes! Also the Doomflayer summon is incredible, 4 in a army is enough to cause serious damage so keep Ikit safe somewhere just spawning team boys. Thanks Sombre for the Mod and this video, some things you said will change my next game :D

It's more difficult to preach against the AI because they build an inordinate number of temples. Probably more efficient to just build a burner lab every other turn than to maintain twenty preachers in enemy lands.

As I have said in the first video the AI is a bit silly with Dominion spreading. So it takes huge amounts of efford to spread your dominion into their lands making Tzeentch special mechanic weaker than probably intended given the opportunity cost.

@@sombrewarhammer Well, in order to produce guys that spread your dominion you don´t produce mages / champions for these RPs. If you need many of them for significant spread then the incentive to produce cultists in the first place will be very low and therefore dominion spread / special mechanic progress will be weak. BUT again, this might be very different in MP.

I just said that IMHO it isn´t an optimal option compared to just go for more mages / champions GIVEN that the AI spams temples into all provinces and probably cheats concerning it's dominion spread. IF for example this cultist could be recruited OUTSIDE of forts just in temples that would certainly make it more attractive in an competitive environment.

I' m currently enjoying the mod along with this video. Really nice sprite work. The color palette you use is inspired. IMO it truly emphasizes the otherworldly nature of Tzeentch's forces. Nicely done.

The first one I ever made was Skaven and they're still my favourite. Not my best sprite work but just really fun to play in multiplayer, lots of sneak attacks, lots of different elemental and poison attacks, no super strong sacred or very reliable troops.

Also you can access your steam workshop mods in your workshop folder though neither the game or mods folders are named so you’ll have to search for your dominions folder and then the mod

Hm the "soul scourge" magic dmg on some of the Tzeentch units attacks seems like a candiate for "armor negating" instead of "armor piercing" given the low damage AND magic resist negates AND fatigue cost. Especially since the "true sight" ability is mostly irrelevant for most of the game and opponents.

@sombrewarhammer Well, I would say it deals more light damage to "moderate" armor IF the enemy unit hasn´t good MR but since Tzeentch looks like an astral nation I would assume that fighting it you want good MR on your troops with buffs etc. in mid game. In any case I mentioned it as a possible venue IF it turns out that they are overall on the weaker side. As I said the "truesight" bonus might be more of a thematic than actual practical advantage against MOST opponents. And since their specialty is based on having influence in enemy territory it will be weak in SP (because of the AIs max dominion fetish) and strongly dependent on your opponent in MP. So there is some concern about Tzeentch power level since their mages while powerful are quite expensive as well.

Seems like reinvig will be mandatory for sacreds with that fatigue on cast attack. Maybe making it not cast above 50 fatigue would be a decent call for them to not go to sleep very quickly? I guess not having H3 even on warp chicken isn't that big of a deal due to communions except of throne claiming. Bishop fish onward! Shame that Kairos is not a hero as well, maybe with time ;p Still stoked to play Tzeentch, favourite chaos boys are here at last.

I don't think I can do that, at least I don't see a mod command for it. It is only 4 enc per ranged attack though so the hope is it doesn't flatten them in terms of fatigue, or at least isn't greatly different from the function of other chosen.

Ulthuan got really shafted in this game. Maybe they deserve some love? Some new heroes would be appreciated. Like Teclis or Alarielle. If Itza can have Mazdamundi and Nagashizzar have their namesake, the power level is about right, no?
