@sundizzlebhambizzle-bazzle3492 Thank you, it's getting there. It takes a hell of a lot of work! We all start with the grey though. Shame the rhino doors didn't arrive in time for those to join this batch. I've 20 tacs and 2 Rhinos to build and airbrush then a pile of painting! Guess that's my year of modelling mapped out.

That's a very good looking blue in the end. Thinning Vallejo Model colors for airbrushing is always a bit tricky and they tend to dry and clog my airbrush a lot faster than other paints. For my 40k Ultramarines I used the Vallejo Model Color Ultramarine 70.839, since it was pretty much a perfect match to the old Ultramarines blue from the '90s. But for my Heresy UItramarines I'm going to use Vallejo Game Air Ultramarine Blue 72.722, and I prime them using Vallejo Surface Primer Ultramarine 70.625, mixed with VSFP Black 70.602 to create this very dark blue. If everything goes as I imagine, I'll be able to skip a few painting phases... :D

@aspecti that sounds spot on. The trick with the Vallejo model colours is to use flow improver to dilute. Once I figured that out I was flying. I didn't get a single clog in 3 days!

Thanks man, I've had very little experience with the airbrush so it was nice to have a really long session and learn about using it better. Started having fun the second day once I cracked the trick of using flow improver to dilute the Vallejo model colour paints. I think I knocked the blue back a bit too much with the ink at the end as it has dried slightly darker but overall I am extremely happy with the results. Hope I can replicate it on the Dreadnought heads I forgot, 2 Rhinos that are yet to be built and the Warhound Titan.

Please do establish wide shots, then medium; then close shots. Your vids is very ifficult to read.
