The voice acting is AMAZING. Some of it is effects, but that deep growl on “burnnn” at the end of the trailer gave me goosebumps even after hearing it several times. It’s Horus’s legendary line after all and they did it justice so well.

All that's stopping it is the cost. Warhammer is still not quite mainstream enough for them to risk spending hundreds of millions of dollars making movies and live action shows, warhammer is one of those IPs that would require immense CGI and practical effects to look right. That's why the only real way forward in the short term is with animation, something like hammer and bolter but with an actual budget would be amazing.

@@ColonelRogers If it happens it would be like a rogue trader thing which would be awesome and the best bet at story driven content, but gigantic space marine battles with baneblades and titans? No way. I doubt even something like a knight would appear, some astartes battles very likely, but nowhere near the scale of horus heresy. If the show get's popular one could dream. I would be ok with animation. live acton isn't there with cgi to make justice to 40k at a large scale or it would take years to make a just a few battles.

Such a memorable trailer. GW always makes great trailers. I wish they'd go back to their history and make short animations like this for important historical events like the Unification Wars with Thunder Warriors, Age of Apostasy for the rise of the Ecclesiarchy, War of the beast for some nice Orky balance, Vraks, Badab, Armageddon, Krieg. I would also include the often overlooked events of Titandeath in Beta Garmin. All such important campaigns in Warhammer 40k history and really fun to learn about.

That shot of the Titan at 1:00 is the money shot for me. There have been some good clips of titans but nothing else really gives you sense of scale and how fast they actually can move like that ground level shot.

This reminds me of Space marine 1 where a Titan is barely operational because it lacks the crew to run it. A fully crewed, properly run AND properly blessed by techpriests Titan can really move quite fast and attack hard all in all.

1:10 I will always view the drop pods of 40k to be the most hardcore way of entering combat. This also reminds me of that homebrewed Dark Heresy party I played in. Almost everyone played an Astartes so they dropped pod into the planet, leaving me(catachan jungle fighter with high explosives stats, making me the explosive experts in the party) and a sanctioned psyker to pretty much buddy up with just grav chutes to make planet fall. I wasn’t around for the Heresy’s First Edition. But I am having so much fun with Heresy Second Edition. I love the beakies, but I would LOVE for there to be a MK5 kit, as that is my absolute favorite armor type. On top of that can we PLEASE get a Horus Heresy show?
