That's a nice find Gilthos (one that we probably should have noticed as well 😅). Kudos for pointing it out. I'll let André leviate his previous worries with that information. I kinda felt that it was a hot take that characters wouldn't get placed in units.

Some common weapons will give extra ranks to fight like spears(1) or pikes(2) and they did say something about deep ranks gives extra supporting attacks. Seems more like the expensive A2 models won't get more attacks vs a bigger cheap unit with spears. The cheap unit will probebly have more attacks since they will go wider "Other models which were on 25mm squares may get resized as well."-GW

I think they say in the article that the front rank models, not in base contacts, will only have 1 attack. Personally i think that the rank bonus won't have a cap to balance this😊

Yeah, I went back to re-read the article and that's correct. We just hope that they have some fix so that it doesnt become viable to run units that are 15+ columns wide, because that will still be a huge number of attacks. There seems to be a risk that we get weird long units of elite infantry winning combats from simply having a much larger amount of attacks and wounds caused. We're looking forward to the next series of updates. Hopefully they will go into further details quite soon.

Steadfast could be that you would never give ground, but count all results as "fall back in good order". Meaning they would never be run down, but can be pushed back etc.

I quite like that idea. That would mean that they would still have to yield ground which could make it so that another unit can force a steadfast unit away from an objective, but the steadfast unit would still rarely get outright destroyed regardless of combat results. Hopefully there are equally clever people working on the Old World, putting together smart keywords and special rules for us.

I feelt that steadfast fast to easy to get.. i hope its removed but rare/few units have unbreakable istead.

Stubborn should be certain Dwarven units and other likewise units due to being actually Stubborn. Not given for free for hordes.

Yeah, hopefully they understood the issues it caused in 8th edition when it was too widely available. It's probably a fine rule, but it should come at a premium or be restricted to certain races or elite units. Personally I'd hate if there was an item such as crown of command that was available to everyone.
