Warhammer Warcry Cypher Lords Warband Painting

In this video I walk through my process for painting the new Cypher Lords warband, for Warhammer Warcry from Games Workshop. I make use of some cool colorshift paints from Green Stuff World in the process.
Sorry about the editing on this one - I need to get better at centering the miniature in the shot while I'm painting. Also you can hear my son unloading our dishwasher towards the end :D

WOW!!!! What a good color scheme! :-) You found a way to work a ton of striking colors into the models and make them all work together really well. I was thinking that you were an absolute madman for saving the flesh color for the end, but it worked out great and it was super satisfying to see them all come together. Awesome Warband!!!

Great video, love that you are using the GSW color-shift paints. I have found that their other product (Airbrush masking putty) is super easy to use and basically lasts forever. (Somewhere in between silly putty and Blue-Tac in consistency.) Also for painting batch troops I use the hobby holder from Game Envy. You just Blue-tac each figure to a bottle cap which then screws into the hobby holder. Even if you don't use the hobby holder the cap is something to hold onto instead of the base or mini.

I find colour shifts from Turbo Dork are more intense than the ones from GSW or SpasStixx. Also, I found Stynylrez glossy black primer best when working with colour shifts

Looks fantastic! The color shift is a great touch. Really gives that Egyptian feel. Stupid question... are you stirring or shaking the contrast pots? I've tried the flesh tone straight from the pot and it gave almost a very reddish color to the face, even when I used the medium to thin it done. Wasn't sure what I did wrong

Those straps were definitely tiresome. I'm painting my guys with a mix of Contrast and Classic paints as well, and I did the straps with the latter as I'm not confident enough in controlling contrast paint on really small surfaces. Abbadon Black and a layer/edge of Eshin Grey on top, so imagine doing all that work twice, lol.
