It seems like Andy had a way of making these people feel like they were something special and unique, and for whatever reason they couldn't maintain it, and he would move on to the next one. He may have had a lot of talent but as a person he seems pretty cold.
@RetroRoomYT23 күн бұрын
Yeah, It seems his relationships with many of his young stars, were more transactional for Warhol at least. He certainly didn't seem overly attached to any of them.

Yeah that's how men generally operate. Not a lot of energy for people they can't get anything more from.

This is my first time hearing about her 😳 I hate that sooo many people that were connected to Warhol have died so tragically! I know it’s a statement of the times of course with drugs and life in New York in general, but it’s still unfortunate to hear🥺

I agree, so many people in that scene passed away very young and also in very tragic ways. Thank you 🙏 for watching 😊

Warhol was a user and a msnipulator. If he could make money and publicity off a person, he called you a friend. Once he got that, he was done with you.

"unalived herself"...... since when did we as a society become so fragile that we have to make up words so we dont offend someone who is likely easily offended or too fragile for the real world?

Same shizzny going on now . We just call it " Social media " . I remember as a teenager riding a train 2 hours to NYC . Just to get some copies of The Voice , Interview , and some underground rags . I loved the city and all that it promised . Now it's boring as hell . Warhol really was a genius ! I couldn't name one piece of talent , coming out of NYC . Not a band , not a writer , not a designer , not an actor . That's depressing af .

Thanks. I'd never heard of Andrea but she clearly has quite a story. I don't blame Andy for what happened to most of these people but he chose to surround himself with broken people and played ugly mind games with them. It hollowed him out just as much as it did any of them. Merry Christmas.
