Wario Basics Guide - Smash Bros Ultimate

I had a few people ask me in the comments to make a follow up on it, since it was missing some things. As I was watching the video again, I relized that since Wario hasn't been changed at all in 2.0.0, an updated Wario guide would pretty much be the same video mind the 2 things I missed. As such I decided that I'm not going to make a follow-up video, as the video that out now does a very good job at it already. I will, however, write about the grabs here if you are curious. All of Warios throws are for stage control and spacing, none of them kill so its better to focus and getting them off the level. HOWEVER at low %, Up throw into Up air is true making for a decent combo throw. Down throw can be reacted out of and can follow up with a bair if they jump out, if they DI in and are big bodied, they can get combo'd into a bair. Great content here. A couple things I have just not seen in a lot of wario guides that I’ve watched is how to get off his bike and where you need to land his waft? Nooby questions but do you need the enemy above you to land waft?

@@libertyj14 1. Thank You! 2. You can get off the Bike by hitting a jump button shortly after the moves begins 3. Waft hits around Wario from the sides and below, however when hes flying through the air his head is a hitbox too.

By extend your hitbox he means it will be out for longer not that it will be bigger

14:05 Good so far, although I would like a little extra detail on the actual inputs required to do some of this stuff - is it walk off into Z-drop right there? What are the good options for summoning and then immediately jumping off/cancelling the bike on stage? Good stuff overall but I would like a little more detail aimed at the nuances. EDIT: how is the hitbox actually extended? Is it the case that the bike gets an active hitbox when you hit it with smash/waft? EDIT2: What direction does DAIR knockback in? What is the best way for that normal and others to be used off stage for edgeguarding? FINAL EDIT I SWEAR: What about grab options?

1. The hitbox is extended due to it hitting something, its a property on all moves that if you hit something, the hitbox stays out longer then not. Your bike doesn't get a hitbox, but the move you do hit said bike with will last longer. 2. Dair knocks people, either way, depending on your potioning to them, its actually very odd how the move sends, hard to tell you outright. 3. You don't Z drop the bike, it falls on its own 4. Offstage works like everyone else, just hit them away from the stage with your aerials.

@@espio23ify Sadly, Warios throws are mostly for stage control. You have a 50/50 with Up air out of up throw at low % but besides that, Wario dosen't get much from grabs besides stage control.

Also shielding seems to be super effective against wario's air attacks. What is the best way to pressure shields with him while also staying safe? Sorry if these are dumb questions

@@VanoidGaming Nair dosen't connect into each other at higher %, only low. Nothing much we can do about that. Up Air on block wants to be crossed up to make it safe.

Ah yes, good old disjoints. Wario can have some trouble with Swords, you really have to play patient and around them to win against Swords.
