The ship was safe, so to speak. But what it teaches them, is not to go out with too many passengers, not to go out with too few lifeboats, not to send out lifeboats unless they're at capacity, and not to cheap out during the construction of the vessel.

How was it too many passengers? The ship still had enough cabins available for about 1,100 more people. For the time how did they have too few lifeboats? LEGALLY speaking the Titanic had MORE lifeboats (20) than the Board of Trade said ships over 10,000 tons had to have (16), and that's without considering how at the time people thought of lifeboats only as a way to ferry people to rescue ships NOT as the only option. DID YOU EXPECT THEM TO WAIT FOR PEOPLE ON THE BOAT DECK TO WANT TO GET OFF THE SHIP BEFORE LAUNCHING THEM?! THAT WOULD'VE JUST RESULTED IN MORE DEATHS!!! YOU DO KNOW THAT THE LAST TWO BOATS BASICALLY FLOATED AWAY EITHER CAPSIZED OR HALF FLOODED, HOW MUCH OF A SHIT STORM DO YOU THINK IT WOULD BE IF THEY WAITED FOR EVERYONE TO WANT TO GET OFF?! They didn't cheap out on construction, everything they did or didn't have was by the standards and thoughts of the day, if it was cheap like you people think than Olympic would've sank after the collision with the Hawk.
