Inefficient allocation. Best is MPen but higher level means higher cost. So allocate on ignore mdef then matk.

@@loqztv I don't know the exact calculation. But I think that 1 point for MPen compared to 2 or 3 points or Ref Matk, you'll still get higher damage with MPen. You can try it though if you want. :)

@@loqztv lots of multipliers don't affect ref matk. it's one of the last thing to get added to damage calculation, which means adding ref matk equals very small damage overall. better to add to other staff (ignoremdef and mpen) which add to mulitpliers, or add matk which is affected by all multipliers

What's the point in getting CL Jump/Bounce rune when we want to one-shot kill the first monster hit to proc the Soul Drain skill?

It is for other the mobs with different element/race as your cards attached to your weapon to be effective as well. For example in magma 1f, you can 1 hit Fire fledging with one shot of CL because you have goblin cards attached in your weapon but you can't 1 hit fiery mane coz its undead type not brute. So, the extra damage of the bounce can also 1 hit fiery mane along with the fire fledging as your target when they're close to each other. The same applies in TF1 mobs like teddy bear and cruiser when they're close to each other. If you're magic attack/damage can't 1 hit teddy bear yet because it has higher hp, you can just target cruiser and it will bounce to teddy bear near it with additional damage from the runes to 1 hit kill the bear too.

@@hamsome9511 TF1 monster spawn spots have already been segregated to specific quadrants of the map (with the exception of Teddy Bears in the middle). Most efficient farming spots with a higher density of spawning for each respective mob are far from the center where Teddy Bears spawn, so I find your argument quite weak. If the intention of the Warlock was to afk roam around TF1 and kill any mobs, then he should also be capable of one-hitting the Teddy Bears for maximum efficiency, again, something that does not require the extra bonus from the Chain Jump/Bounce rune. As for the highly contested Magma Dungeon spot, the mobs that spawn there are erratic with no definite position. It's highly inefficient if the intention of the Warlock was to focus solely on hitting one type of mob with the hopes of compensating the lack of damage on the other with the help of the Chain Jump/Bonus rune. It also makes it easier for another Warlock to just contest that spot. Of course, this argument changes if the intention of the Warlock was to roam around hitting specific mobs, but then again, it's better to aim to one shot-kill all mobs for maximum efficiency rather than be dependent on one single mob in such a highly contested area.

Your argument is solely for you, which i assume has enough m.damage to 1 shot every mobs in TF and magma. Of course, it will be more efficient to target all mobs and 1 hit them but how about other warlocks who can't? How about others who can 1 shot fire fledging because they have goblin cards but can't 1 hit fiery mane? Have you thought if them? I guess not. The runes are there to compensate for the lack of damage of their CL. This guide tells us to get those runes for maximum damage you can get from CL whether you can 1 hit them or not. And besides, even if you can 1 hit all mobs without those runes, where will you put your medals at? I'm sure you have a slot in ymirs dedicated solely just for CL so why not just get all those runes for pure CL damage.
