@@MEMUNDOLOL Hex Master would need to be tested, but my guess is that it would just remain on doing nothing indefinitely. Curse effect only changes if the curse prevents damage or not, ie. at 100% reduced curse effect the target will deal damage as normal at all times under the full duration of Pacify

Thanks for yoyr videos, they are really fun to watch! May I suggest a forgotten unique ring 'Warrior's legacy'? It had a lot of hype when it was teased in 3.9 and was quite expensive until people realized it only had very niche use cases.

The only thing I can think of for Pacify is using something like Heartstopper when you get less damage taken, and have Pacify timed to go off when Heartstopper swaps to DoT damage reduction, this way you're always covered by 40% less damage taken or no damage taken.

penance mark slaps with specters lol, lets them get soul eater via unending hunger in boss fights it competes with other marks though especially if your going crit.

Love this intro. Did some math and realized that the penance mark is more DPS than prenerf DD while not requiring links with hinekoras so I've been playing a hinekoras main skill explode RF. Absolutely goofy stuff For anyone wondering at level 80 they have 20,000 health meaning the death's fury pop is a 100,000 base damage fire hit for the purposes of ignite.

I stand afk in the simulacrum vs kosis for half an hour (literally) and have 0 Chieftain explosion proc on them at all, constantly spawning them coz I have 100% uptime of tornado of ele turbulence on kosis. They just always die quickly, but never proc a damn explosion. I can't be that unlucky, I think they changed something without telling us

Pacify’s opportunity cost of requiring a ring slot is pretty high… but I could see some crazy build coming out with pacify + ward + Vaal arctic armour or something like that

You can penance mark and conversion trap the marked mob to create allies penance mark phantoms as well.

The problem is that one trap converts one phantasm at a time, has a long cooldown, can convert a random rare monster that you cursed instead, and the duration of the phantasm is quite short, as is its base damage.

I could see pacify working well against ubers if your able to pacify them during the increased res, pdr and reduced damage taken time they have at the start of the fight. Potentially even out the playing field by nullifying their damage output until you can burst them down

Affliction sounds fun... I believe this could be the first tool to reliably let us blow up a dancing dervish! Unless it can somehow survive the degen with it's high damage resistance. But in that case it could potentially be a massive regen option for the player!

I actually tested this extensively during affliction. It has "infinite" hp so you do get massive regen for 5 seconds, but eventually the degen hits 100% and they die. but it doesn't seem to do any damage with the explosion, and it can be a real pain to resummon the swords, because they can die separately. It effectively makes you immortal with the multi thousand regen for the duration which is fun but then you pretty much die the moment you lose them.

I guess if you drop Pacify duration to less than 1 second, it will basically always apply the no damage effect.

Affliction can be used with the perfect dark marionette to create some pretty nasty self regenerating explosions, was fun in affliction.

Hmm, penance mark is very strong for single target with poison builds that have single poison and use low tolerance. But for some reason noone use it that way in this league, i guess its because farming bosses make you lose money lol

The range is small, only chieftain can make use of it. Since the mobs spawn far from the target

the affliction curse... is it your spell or a minion skill? can i ignite with it as an elementalist or can i get bleedchance for my minions or is it just the hit and that s all i get?

It's not a curse, and the damage originates from the minion(same as minion instability)

Hmm, so if you convert all minion damage to elemental via Triad Grip; and use Affliction on Golems as an elementalist, which are immune to elemental damage... you get golems which explode for 50% [base] of their rather large life pools at 20% HP. Also; how large is this explosion? Because there is also Guardian's summon which has massive HP, and it's damage scales with HP.

i have an question. the new svalin shield. what if you use Viridi's Veil too? the enemies already score unlucky hits, rigth? so Viridi's Veil and any shield its equal to use svalin OR the enemies have a really unlucky day when you use both?

They have two completely different stat - Viridi's makes enemy hits against you unlucky(damage rolled twice choosing the lower outcome), Svalinn makes your block chance lucky(chance to block rolled twice choosing the favourable outcome)

The mobs summoned from penance mark spawn too far away from the marked enemy to make use of most explode effects, the chieftain explode node is definitely the only real exception.

@@cdcerr That's a good point. I had the idea to play them by blowing up their impales with a double strike of impaling and impaler keystone, but the blast radius was not enough and it can't be increased. Even killing the boss with their overkill damage from the Herald of Ash seems more reasonable.
