My mom passed away in February. This will be my first Christmas without her. The leg of lamb brought back great memories. My mom was a wonderful cook and she use to make leg of lamb for Easter and Christmas. She would cut small slits all over the lamb and put garlic cloves in them and she would always serve it with mint jelly. It was always delicious. Thank you for reminding me of that sweet memory.

I’m so sorry about your mom. Sounds like you have some good memories! My mom did the exact same thing!! But I don’t like the garlic in slits so i just made it how I wanted 😂

I’m drooling over that leg of lamb! I am the only person in my family who likes lamb so guess what I never get to have😂 with the Christmas tree appetizer when you put the spinach dip on it you can sprinkle it with a little bit of mozzarella or mix mozzarella into the spinach dip - yum!

Hi Maria......re the great white platter.....I have one which came from England with my family in 1915. It was already an antique handed down through my Mother's family. An antique's assessor deems it to be around 225 yrs old! It gets used twice a year on our dinner table and is still in near perfect condition, no chips or cracks at all. With even minimal care those white platters just keep going and going! Your dinner looks lovely.

@@MealsWithMaria I was reading the transcript and it says "crabbies " and 2 words later " for dessert" so I thought it was some obscure dish handed down from the 40s or 50s like that lime jello salad with the olives in it. Yep at 3:22 this yet another classic Christmas dessert. So I was just totally confuzzled. Lol
