I’ve heard the WA1B demo’d on other videos, but wasn’t impressed, but it sounds pretty decent on the two sources you demonstrated although it’s very transparent, it seems to compress well without artefacts, and sounds quite smooth. Paired up with a C800 type mic and 1073 style preamp would probably get you some stellar results. Thanks for the demo.

You are better off using the cl1b unision version through UAD until you can obtain a real cl1b. I have this wa1b and not matter what the vocals come out harsh. Im going to sell it and save up for a real cl1b.

WA-1B it's just ok, very bright and sibilant, not smooth at all as original!
