I just bought mine and I am sooooo very pleased with it! It's a game changer for lead and background vocals; The Warm Audio WA-2A is super warm, rich and full!

Love to hear it! Appreciate the feedback. Nothin' like a little WA-2A love.

I got one. And its sounds so smooth. I can’t get my hands of the bottoms. They are so buttery. I just record it and i see that it sounds good or better then the comp of my UAD LA610 Mk2. I swabed the one tube for a original NOS. Love it!

It would be cool if you could do a video on how to operate this thing with 2 of these compressors in stereo

Hi...how are you? I saw some units with the pre emphasys and the vu calibration on the back. They are the same units from Warm Audio but different layouts? Thank you

Hey...Mines dnt have the meter. Adjust on the front!!!

I have a MK1 version of this and use it on vocals all the time along with a silver face Urei 1176 in series to catch peaks. It's great to see the pre-emphasis on the front panel as the old version it is almost impossible to utilize it within a rack. I am also wondering how much the sound will differ with the optional optical tube upgrade?

Isn't it possible to make a 1U version of these? Or is it because you'd need to have the tubes at a 90 degree angle? I mean, if it's only by tradition, that's not a good enough reason to make them twice as large as they need to be.

So can I use the compress/ limit feature separately on the same track? Maybe compress for the vocal track input then outputting to the master for the limiting? Does this make sense I’m still learning and deciding compressors for my first piece of hardware to pair with my Apollo

It’s a hard knee/soft knee switch. It’s one channel

Does this give you a plug in power 48V to connect the mic directly?
@WarmAudioOfficial Жыл бұрын
Hi there! You cannot connect the mic directly to a compressor. You would need to first run through a microphone preamp.

@@WarmAudioOfficial Thank you for your answers. I have the last question. After how many hours of continuous operation of a compressor or tube preamplifier should its tubes be replaced due to wear and tear to maintain sound quality at all times?
@WarmAudioOfficial Жыл бұрын
@@ciekaweurzadzenia - There is no set amount of times that tubes last, but they should function well for at least 2-3 years.
@Ninja64854 жыл бұрын
Nice that you moved some of the controls to the front on the new ones. Any issues with using a new one and an old one together as a stereo pair?
@WarmAudioOfficial4 жыл бұрын
No issues.

@Secret_Armor Contact your local dealer and request the WA-2A unit with the new design. Thank you

Can you plug a wireless microphone direct to the compressor?
@WarmAudioOfficialАй бұрын
You would need a microphone preamp or interface in your signal chain before hitting the compressor.
@SANZA_REC Жыл бұрын
Approximately how often should the tubes be changed?
@WarmAudioOfficial Жыл бұрын
Hey Sanza! Tubes can vary on how long they last. I would say a general rule is to change them roughly every 2 years.

I’ve only had this compressor for maybe three months, and the peak reduction no longer works

How do you maintain hardware? Is it gonna lie in one position for years like my interface and I'll never have to replace any parts or clean it?

Yea unless it has a tube in it

Hey Angel! No bypass. All 2A-style compressors typically do not.
