How to turn a garage roof into a hot roof with low/no internal mess

Honest question - what happens to all of the moisture which is trapped between the original roof and the new covering? Surely it'll just rot the new deck?

Hi Neil good question. With this system being mechanically fixed and not fully bonded this allows for air to pass under the membrane to some extent which in return over time allows and trapped moister to evaporat. The water isn't ideal but that's tge joys of roofing in the uk. There was a job before that was the same but years later we returned to flash a log burner in and the roof had dried out fine so we are confident it not cause future problems .
