Thanks for this review! IMO one of the only tasteful reviews of the WA MPX out there. Seems too many reviews are all about overblown distortion and completely out of context implementation. Thank you Warm Audio and others (only two I can think of!) Looking forward to mine coming next week!

Love it. As a mixing/mastering engineer, it lives on my 2-bus these days...

The song in the demonstration is really good. Typically songs for gear demos are really bad or bland but this was really good

Just bought one. I prefer a magic box versus a plugin. Can't say why, just makes me feel good.

What is up with this : Yes, plugging both an XLR and a 1/4 inch jack into the Warm Audio 2MPX at the same time can compromise the line level signal, as most audio equipment is designed to only use one input connection at a time, and simultaneously using both can lead to unexpected signal behavior or potential damage due to conflicting electrical pathways. Why this happens: Signal integrity issues: When both inputs are used, the internal circuitry might not be optimized to handle the combined signal, potentially causing signal degradation, distortion, or an unbalanced signal. Impedance mismatch: XLR and 1/4 inch jacks can have different impedance values, and using both simultaneously can create an impedance mismatch, further affecting the signal quality. Design intent: Most audio equipment, including the Warm Audio 2MPX, is designed to use only one input connection at a time, and using I am surprised that all connections can’t be plugged in ALL the time. There is an input switch so why do the lines levels actually sound better and louder, and the signal reads louder when the xlr inputs are disconnected?

Hello Warm Audio. What brand of "premium tubes" are used in this preamp? I suppose is not a secret?
@WarmAudioOfficial Жыл бұрын
Typically we use Tung Sol but brand varies depending on availability. Always the highest quality tubes available!

Hi guys, I would like to know options of warm audio chain for a Tlm 103 ? What are your recommendations?
@WarmAudioOfficial Жыл бұрын
Hey there! All depends on what you're recording and the sound you're going for. Our 73-style preamps will give you a nice color & warmth to your sound; built with UK made transformers from Carnhill. Our WA73-EQ also has a built-in EQ to easily shape your tone right from the preamp. If you're looking for a super clean sound with minimal warmth and color from your preamp, I would check out our 12-style preamps. Adding a preamp is always a great place to start! Then jump into compression. 😉
