My Mentor Mark Chaillet always told me my opening lift on the main platform should be whatever I did for a triple in training.

I always feel like warmups for deadlifts go way easier than warmups for squats. I've already warmed up my legs and back on squats and bench and I don't have the same jitters I get closer to my squat opener.
