When you see the color comparisons near the end of the video, you can really tell that True Summer is the right season. Her natural glow comes out and her eyes look amazing! That blue color is lovely on her!

This is SO helpful to see on someone else. You analyzed me as a true summer and for years I thought I was a spring; due to my blue eyes, freckles, and being strawberry blonde in my youth. To see the transformation color makes on this person helps me understand why true summer colors work for me as well. Thank you!

Blue eyes can be in any season. As to strawberry or red coloring, the key is when you had it in your hair. If it is pre-puberty it doesn't matter where you will end up. If it is post puberty/adolescence you will be either spring or autumn as red in the hair is an obvious sign of warm undertones.

I would have liked to have seen more comparisons with soft summer and true summer, although she maybe has too much contrast for a soft season? I really like the neutral looking colours on her , would have loved to have seen some soft greens of varying temperature.

I'm a Winter (was typed years ago). I have very dark brown hair that looks soft black in dim lighting/photos etc. Put me under strong sunlight or a bright light and suddenly my random red hairs spring up and make me look almost mahogany.

Wait. Can the reverse be true? I think my natural hair is a dark cooler blonde/light neutral brown but I look sallow &/or drained in summer colors…think I am somewhere in the autumn family.

I relate to this. My hair is light/med ash brown/taupe. My skin is yellow (very obvious in photos next to pink people). Many colour analysis articles will tell you that yellow means warm. I realized recently that yellow skin can be warm OR COOL yellow, and mine is cool yellow. So yes, I look better in gold and deep rust reds, but look better in cool pinks and purples of a dusty/muted sort. So I can pull from autumn and summer. You may be a true muted. Look at her articles/vids on true muteds. We can swing either way often. It's its own palette.

Yes. I am cool yellow toned. My sister is pink toned. Although I'm not sure which season she is. I believe I may be true muted.

Even holding my phone I can see that her skin looks "pink" compared to my hand holding the phone which looks "yellow." I am a warm spring. Also my hair is much warmer as a honey blonde/brown. I don't doubt that she got true summer.

@@KalamityKim there is a difference between yellow based skin (often looks apricot or peachy) and sallow skin which is actually cool undertone skin that picks up a yellow surface color when next to warmer color. Draping will draw it out. Warms like me will pass color analysis checks (lifted jaw, clarified skin, harmony) with the warm colors against us and flunk those checks (loss of definition of the jaw and other face features shadowing and other facial flaws, noticing color before us, and even negative color properties like bluing or graying of the skin) in the cool colors. It will be vice versa for the cool person. Cool colors will benefit them and warm colors will not only be off but will yellow their skin in an unhealthy way like they have jaundice. Most even lay people can tell the difference between warmth and sallow but the trained color analysis professional definitely should be able to.

This is helpful. I’ve thought for years that I was an autumn, neutral warm. But just recently went to a professional and got a soft summer result. My hair has been bothering me become the roots tend to have an ashy dark blonde/light brown color, but the mid lengths and ends and highlights are definitely gold. . . So confusing. But this makes sense. Probably the sunbleaching is pulling it gold.

I really love how you used lipstick as a test because it got me thinking of which colors worked & didn’t work on me. When it’s a color applied to the face, it’s often easier to tell than when holding the color under the face or around the face, when it’s right on there then it’s hard to miss!

This can happen. I have autumn color, typical hazel eyes , warn skin tones ( although it can be red due to age) . I have ashy hair that when I was younger lightened to warm tones in the sun. Now it’s salt and pepper very dark grey with a few whites. It can be very confusing. However when you are wearing your best colors it’s obvious
