You know the film made an impression if I can remember seeing it as a kid and still loving it throughout the years.....the cast for this film was perfect & a really great story!! Matthew Broderick was a new, talented actor “on the scene” and Rutgers & Michelle were so brilliant & at the height of their sheer “gorgeousness.” Wasn’t originally thrilled with the soundtrack but the film (w/soundtrack) was a real reflection of when it was made in the mid-1980s so, no regrets.

One of the 1st adult movies i watched on Theatre when i was 7 years old! My Grandma Cecilia took me with her! She was an amazing movie lover and still is now with 88 years, but her healthy is not very good at the moment!!! Good memories, but my very 1st Cinema film was Spielberg’s E.T.!!! Just magical to watch when u r 4 years and, yet, in a Theatre full of other kids!!!🥃

Great film. Sad to see Rutger Hauer's passed on. He starred in some crazy films back in the 80's but I always mind him from his "Blade Runner" role. He was a guy a bit like Christopher Walken who had a magnetic presence on screen and chose a few "outhere" roles.

I recommended this to my twin flame runner earlier today. It’s been an uphill battle trying to break a generational curse for 5 years. Thought it fit considering they were Always Together but Eternally Apart. And as a matter of fact today makes 1 year and 10 months since we have seen each other. So the “I’ve waited almost 2 years for a sign from God” line resonates so completely with me. You say that it's "not too shabby" that Ladyhawke was the "48th top money making film for 1985" as if that's somehow a good statistic, which it most definitely isn't. Here's a quick summary from Wikipedia: "The film was a box-office disappointment, grossing around $18.4 million against a $20 million budget and ranking 48th for the year at the North American box office." If it had somehow landed in the top 10 (maybe even the top 15) for 1985, then I would also agree that it's not too shabby. But 48th place for 1985 is nowhere even near anything that would be considered a success - especially since it couldn't break even and would go on to lose $1.4 million.

I love this movie!!!! I would strongly want to see how Navarre and Isabeau first met, fell in love and how their lives changed when the Bishop cursed them. I got some idea of a cast Alexander Ludwig as Navarre, Margot Robbie as Isabeau, Bill Nighy as the Bishop, Ray Winstone as Imperius and Aiden Turner as Marquet.

My favorite date movie. Whenever I want to get close with a new woman in my life I get her to watch this with me. While movies like The Exorcist and Poltergeist are supposedly cursed. This one had an air of romance running through it. Filmed during 8 months in the beautiful Italian countryside producer Lauren Shuler fell in love with director Richard Donner. Kurt Russell bowed out of the role of Navarre because he'd fallen for Goldie Hawn and couldn't be away from her.

The fun bit about this movie is that I am in different places in my life and so have found different perspectives. Today, I decided that the only people in this movie that actually had DECISIONs and CHOICES were Mouse and that old monk. YES, the monk, because he had to come out of his drunken hopelessness, wake up, and got the opportunity to help people. It was GOOD! I know that I'm silly, but if you can't be silly when you are old, you have no business being silly when you are four years old. ;) Sooo... I own this, but I wanted to say this out loud. And also, as soon as I have a four year old around, I'll persuade him/her that we can try nailing Jello to a wall, using small nails (because big ones don't work! Age and experience, see? LOL)

Yeah, that "music" was so out of place in this period piece. They were hoping to attract a younger audience, but did they really think young viewers were tone deaf??? good old movie, new soundtrack required though. also the third movie in the production of the original berserk. its Flesh+Blood, Ladyhawke and hellraiser combined that make berserk. took me a little bit to remember about this movie, havent seen it since i was 5-7. ;p
