The biggest problem with modern stuff is it's just not...earnest anymore. It's all meta humor, self-aware, cynical, ashamed to take itself seriously and simply be what it is. The next biggest problem is that every show seems to have ADHD nowadays, the characters are always bouncing off the walls to keep ahold of the short attention spans of modern kids.

+John Sourlas Current shows don't even try. They really don't. They're ridiculously dumbed-down, the action is minimal thanks to the PC police forbidding any sort of weapons, and they don't eve try to have animation as detailed as 80's cartoons. That's why Japanese anime which does keep pushing the action and detail fascinate so many kids of today who have literally never seen anything like it on TV
@bernielomax41908 жыл бұрын
Not really. In all of these 80s shows the credit sequence animation is always top drawer. Then you get to the meat of the episode where the budget really shows. Recycled and skipped frames. Characters off model. Bad voice editing (wrong voice matched with wrong character). Color pallet problems etc. These shows were meant to sell toys and that's it. Seriously rewatch them with rose colored glasses removed and you'll see what I'm talking about in matter of seconds.

The 80's had all the best cartoons. This show was just one of a dozen awesome Saturday morning cartoon shows. Kids today just don't have any idea of the joy and excitement of waking up early on a Saturday morning to watch your favorite shows. Then there were the toys that each show had, that made watching the shows even better. You could play with your toys, while watching those characters on tv. It was also the only time throughout the week, that my parents were ok with me watching tv for a couple of hours.

When the partly metal partly real man took out his guitar, I truly felt like this could be one of Amber's musical segments.

that guitar solo.... show cartoon today that has that

This show HAD potential. If they remade it for this day and age, and do the animation like Legend of Korra, give it a darker tone story wise. And you can just print your own money.

Ozymandias There are many 80s & 90s Cartoons who deserve remake or a movie and Silver Hawk and Thunder Cats are top contenders, just look at people who put their voice on Silver Hawk characters, awesome.

Just the animation team. The writers of LoK better stay away from this.

They did that with Thundercats and it was amazing.

Apparently during the Cartoon Network Thundercats reboot there was some talk among the writers of reintroducing the Silvehawks as guest stars, and a few eps hinted at it. But that show ultimately lasted only a couple season and it never came to pass.

How on earth did I miss this cartoon growing up. I’m 44, and I’ve literally never heard of this show before. It’s only because comments from another video led me here.

Probably the best ever put into an 80's cartoon opening -and stemming from that era, I know what I'm talking about. It's just -mrowrr!

I havent watched this, but I am actually tearing up and getting goosebumps from the harmonies and guitar solo. All I can say is holy cow I have nostalgia for a show I never even watched and now I feel like I have watched this when it was still on tv.

I still can't understand how this 42 year old man still gets goosebumps over this old intro more than most of todays songs.
