@googalacticgoo2 ай бұрын
@@adamwest3266 yes believe it or not. I do not remember moving from Los Angeles to Alameda county in 1977 when I was 5 months old. I do not remember as a newborn infant but perhaps a few months after the move I can trace memories of the following years, definitely 78', we must have seen star wars in the re release that year when they changed the title to new hope as they began working on Empire. So my memory definitely goes back to the zeitgeist of that era as toddler being among the youngest in a young family.
@googalacticgoo2 ай бұрын
@adamwest3266 of course I wasn't aware of new hope title or Empire in the making as that is a thought in retrospect. At that time it was just Star Wars. The late 70s and the awesome and memorable images at the theater in 78'. Did I see it or understand it the same as a five year old or in the 80s or a teen in the early 90s? Of course not. But the images and the toys were memorable. It was an awesome time to be alive and a child

Last Year I visited the White Rapids & Niagara Falls because I knew it was used to film scenes of Superman. It was fun guessing the approximate locations of the filming. Credit to Richard Donner for taking this material seriously when it was originally envisioned as a comedy. The Producers did not appreciate his perfectionist ways and wanted him to film faster at a lower budget. So Richard Lester was brought in to finish Superman II.
