People just like to mindlessly hate on things. Leonard was like the peace in the chaos that their group was. He could be childish like the others but also had this grownup vibe to him where he came across as a parent to Sheldon and their other friends. He was always considerate to other's feelings and loved people unconditionally. And Johnny is an amazing actor.

It's really great that they put the Sheldon saving Leonard's life clip right after Professor Proton is asking him why he's with Sheldon. In this episode, Leonard explains to Penny that not only did Sheldon save his life but he didn't rat Leonard out to the landlord. It was one of the main reasons why Leonard is with Sheldon.

When Professor P. mentioned it's the same description of a relationship you might have for a golden retriever it reminded me of when I was in therapy and the guy asked me to describe my partner to him - he said it sounded like I was describing a grandparent, not someone I was hot for. I've never felt more in love nor lust with anyone else in my life, I was absolutely head over heels for this man! Interestingly, our personalities are the same as Sheldon(Me, sorry everyone) and Leonard's(him).

Leonard and Sheldon are my favourites on the show. Their friendship is the reason I've always loved BBT. While most people think Sheldon and Penny's friendship is the best, I believe Sheldon and Leonard are the best friends, best brothers who balanced each other out. Leonard was the calm and Sheldon was the chaos. Leonard was the nucleus of their group, and Sheldon's acts drove their group.

I always thought of Leonard as the main character of the whole show. While Sheldon is a "source of comedy", Leonard is actually the most normal of the group. He is a nerd - but has way more social skills. He is the one who is holding the group together

Jeeminy, he’s such a good actor. i never fully grasped that. without Leonard, Sheldon wouldn’t work right. and he comes across as the smartest one in being down to earth and picking up on emotional nuances. he’s loving and caring - the best partner in life even with his low self-esteem (and with his mother it’s no wonder. she’s as ‘Aspbergery’ as Sheldon.) he’s the straight man of the group, especially for Sheldon!! :) 🎭 🌷🌱

Leonard and Penny are great because they are unapologetically themselves and don’t have to sugarcoat anything. Reminds me of my parents who have been married for over three decades and love each other despite the fact that their personalities are quite opposite. So many people think that you have to always get along with your spouse or significant other for the relationship to be healthy that’s just BS. Respect, communication (yes even disagreements and arguing) and love. Penny and Leonard are perfectly imperfect together and that’s what sets them apart from the other couples on the show.
