Dear Fr Warner, this parable which you explained so well is a gory one, full of bloody murder, bitterness & revenge. You gave us 3 important messages - to guard our hearts against negative thoughts festering there, the need to see with God's eyes because sin blinds us completely & when we feel rejected,to imitate Jesus who endured so much rejection in his life, yet he still loves us. Love accepts,a soft person softens if harmed and hurt while a hard person hardens all the more.The earth cracks if heated while a candle made of wax melts when heated. Let us melt on experiences intense heat and suffering

You said it rightly Fr.retreats are the place for healing of bitter memories and wounds ,b it rejection or hatred , resentment,and abuse of every kind.if ppl only knew what a great treasure we have in these retreats and in front of the blessed sacrament where we experience the mightiest deliverance . Corporates and counsellors hold sessions and conferences ,seminars in 💲💲to help ppl out of these emotional issues but like u said none can go beyond that point where only our Lord can touch and heal ,hurt, pain , rejection and to forgive and also Forget .🙏🙏🙏🙏🕊️🙌

Very beautiful teaching fr. Yes rejection is something we all experience at some time or the other and having experienced this from someone you love, hurts the most.
