When I was coming out of dark period of my life 2 years ago I would hit the gym and listen to these old Metallica songs I knew since early childhood. It’s unfortunate to grow up and live these lyrics, but it’s such a great blessing to have art that relates to your experience. It’s so therapeutic. Like Flea said Metallica does just as much or more for the world than any love in, peace and hippie band to make people feel ok, not alone and hopeful.
