If you don't know Peter, he is the best and nicest mechanic i ever met. Boat was run 3 days after, and it ran absolutely perfect.

Hi my good friend Todd, your words are an inspiration to keep trying to do every job the 100% best I can. Thank you for allowing all of us and this channel to publish and share such an important video from your boat and motor. Glad everything turned out great. Take care. 👍🏻👍🏻

Very interesting situation - I have the same engine so I can now avoid this mistake. My question is though, why did he feel the need to attach the hose at the T junction in the first place, or did I miss something. I thought these engines had their own in-built flushing connectors?
@us4marine8 ай бұрын
Hi Richard, most newer models come with this “inside the boat connection” already attached. Thank you for watching, however (though I haven’t heard of a case) any of the hoses on that “T” could brake or come loose and create the same effect. The video is just to make users aware when flushing. Take care.👍🏻

Great video. Very interesting diagnosis, never seen this issue before.

Hi Justin, yes, is not often this happens. The reason of the video was to warn users it could, even the probabilities are slim. Thank you for watching. Take care 👍🏻

These modern starter motors have solenoid engagement. The Bendex system was superceded years ago.

Hi Aqua, is a term a use for better understanding instead of using starter motor drive pinion. But thank you for your comment nonetheless, and thank you for watching. 👍🏻👍🏻

@us4marine Regarding the turm Bendex, my reply was a matter of interest as this was a recent subject of discussion amongst my mix aged friends. The long and short of it, nobody under fifty years of age knew what a Bendex system was. Interesting all the same. Cheers

It is BENDIX; and it is a brand, like Jeep, Ford etc; there is ALWAYS a "Bendix", in cars, boats, motorcycles(a different one, here,in japanese bikes, it lasts for "ever") , because when the engine starts, the "Bendix" MUST SLIP in the other direction,or the Starter Motor would reach crazy RPMs if still engaged, and be destroyed.

How much that mistake will cost?
@us4marine8 ай бұрын
It depends how late the user take notice, it this happens same way as my customer, there was really no damage at all, several oil changes and filters, but if it happens when storing the boat for a long time, then the damage can be considerable. Thank you for watching and participating. 👍🏻👍🏻
