Here in the UK clicking on your amazon link to your genuine product takes me directly to one of the copycat traps. It seems that because the product isn't available in this region, the Amazon robots find the closest match that unfortunately is the rip off! So amazon not only allows the rip offs but suggests them too.

I had two mice in my house, and a regular Victor wooden spring trap caught both of them.

The Tunnel Dual-Entry mousetrap is the best mousetrap on the market. It is impossible for the mouse/rat to reach the bait without getting caught in the jaws. I use peanut butter in the cup and sprinkle cinnamon power inside and outside the trap to attract the rats and mice. Works where all my other traps have been less successful over the years.

I'm tempted to buy the Dizzy D trap but being made by Rinne gives me cause for concern. I bought the Rinne original dunker but it arrived warped and didn't work. They replaced it for free but the second one was less warped but unsuccessful at catching mice. The rolling log was far more successful. I'm afraid that I might get a warped Dizzy D trap if I go back to Rinne.

Shawn needs to check his mice' union contract. Mice that are SAG/AFTRA members don't have to mess with testing counterfeit traps. You'd think between our patent, copyright, and trademark systems, we could limit the spread of counterfeit traps, based on function, appearance or packaging.

Just kinda off topic, what would really boost positive reviews and increase purchasing of the dizzy dunker mouse/rat trap is also included bucket with it. Basically, when i tested the trap it worked but i had a very, very hard time finding a good sized bucket for it. I think that it would be reaally good to also ship a correct sized bucket with it. I wouldn't mind the 5-20$ price increase (depending on bucket) at all.

Tens of thousands for the patent, tens of thousands in legal fees to fight the infringement. They just close up the business, open under another name and you get to spend tens of thousands to fight the new entity. The way to win at this game is to just make the best product.

Best product? Ha-ha-ha! Shawn can't win this game. As soon chinese guys will copy his product one to one - he is busted. Product the same, quality the same, price... not the same cheap chinese labor will make their copy cheaper. Legal actions is the only way to protect intellectual property.
