And to add to that: We have to be careful - we were also "without a clue" before we were saved. We have to be careful we fall into the trap of thinking we were smarter / better / or whatever to have "figured out" God's truth when the fact is it's God that revealed it to us. So preach the gospel with grace and humility, point out how someone's claims are contrary to Scripture, but be careful we don't get prideful of how "stupid' people are. Romans 2:4 *_"Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?"_*

The man being interviewed in the video tends to contradict himself. Why is that? He probably hasn't thought his own dispositions through much nor has he beend challenged often it seems. That man probably puts more emphasis as to what he will order at his favorite restaurant, or how his favorite team will make the playoffs etc as opposed to where he will spend eternity. I think it might do you good to re watch some of these videos.while calming your emotions. Study the body language, choice of words and facial expressions of the people being interviewed. There are a lot of bright people who miss the mark on what matters most. But understand when we evangelise to people, our focus is to lead them to the message of salvation, not to spend hours on end wallowing in rabbit holes. People love to debate,.but when their heads hit the pillow at night, they are left with their own thoughts and conscience to deal with.

Fantastic responses to the relativistic man, those folks especially out in CA, are so used to living in a relativistic vacuum that they usually can’t really cope with objective objections. In my own experiences as well. Keep on speaking the Truth brother!

With this logic everything also becomes a fantasy…there is no reality…it is impossible to live in a world like that…. No rules just what you think……?????
@jaquirox65792 жыл бұрын
@@Daftok Yes exactly! These people will superficially respond to everything you say with statements like “well that’s your truth”, or “well you can have your opinion”. But as soon as you touch on a topic they are passionate about, they will go full authoritarian tyrant on you, and demand everyone concede to their opinion. Like climate change, pro baby murder, or things like the welfare state. Suddenly with those topics they will demand that their view is the ONLY possible option, and all relativism goes flying out of the window in a split second. They do this because they don’t actually believe anything is relative. They just find the relativistic argument to be an easy religious out of having to actually think critically about God, their sin, and the Truth.

@@Horustheoriginalgod morality is absolute, if it was subjective then there was nothing wrong with hitler killing the Jews since according to you it’s for the goodness of the village. That’s the evolutionary way of thinking and “survival of the fittest” as well, it never works because you will always tend to dehumanize the weak and the vulnerable.
@kevincruz40932 жыл бұрын
@@Horustheoriginalgod well I would disagree because that would be a change in the standard of living not absolute morality. Also yes it’s a selection in which supposedly advances the human race meaning we should, according to the ideology of evolution, kill all people with cancer genetics, Down syndrome, etc… this will completely advance the human race because you eliminate any life that doesn’t meet the standards of the “ideal” human being. Also if we use the ideology you’re defending we can’t say that Hitler was wrong because isn’t morality subjective? That’s why morality has to be objective because we can all agree that what happened was a horrific event, it’s an absolute fact.
@kevincruz40932 жыл бұрын
@@Horustheoriginalgod not a straw man at all, I responded to your comment. What I understand is “straw man” is usually said when someone doesn’t have anything to respond with just like you did. I brought up evolution because if you believe that morality is subjective then you shouldn’t be able to say hitler was wrong for killing the Jews because your morals that killing is wrong doesn’t apply to him because it’s all subjective right? Also you said this has nothing to do with survival of the fittest but survival of the group..? That’s why I responded how I did, also morality doesn’t change. It’s suppressed by evil people to get what they want. Just like you said, hitler was a maniac who did evil but according to your view morality is subjective therefore who are you to judge and decide what’s wrong or right?

Here's the end of the whole relative argument right here: "If it's all your truth is yours & my truth is mine" then I should be able to exact violence or steal from a person & I shouldn't suffer any of the consequences cause no one is right & no one is wrong."

“He was despised and rejected- a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all. He was oppressed and treated harshly, yet he never said a word. He was led like a lamb to the slaughter. And as a sheep is silent before the shearers, he did not open his mouth. Unjustly condemned, he was led away. No one cared that he died without descendants, that his life was cut short in midstream. But he was struck down for the rebellion of my people. He had done no wrong and had never deceived anyone. But he was buried like a criminal; he was put in a rich man’s grave. But it was the Lord’s good plan to crush him and cause him grief. Yet when his life is made an offering for sin, he will have many descendants. He will enjoy a long life, and the Lord’s good plan will prosper in his hands. When he sees all that is accomplished by his anguish, he will be satisfied. And because of his experience, my righteous servant will make it possible for many to be counted righteous, for he will bear all their sins. I will give him the honors of a victorious soldier, because he exposed himself to death. He was counted among the rebels. He bore the sins of many and interceded for rebels.” Isaiah 53:3-12 NLT This was written around 700 years before Jesus came into the earth, yet it describes His life perfectly. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 God loves you so much and showed that by sending His Son to die for us so that we may inherit eternal life. We deserve hell but He gave us heaven through faith in Jesus. He took the punishment we deserved and by putting our faith in Him we can be saved. I have met several individuals who actually believe there is no truth. And somehow they can not see past the error of this belief. But, as soon as you back them into a corner and they can not make an assumption of their position, they immediately become hostile. No one likes being backed into a corner…and that is a truth…so they start spouting squishy rhetoric about life being continuous and truth is fluid so in the next life, if there is a next life, you can avoid the consequences of your beliefs. It’s really very interesting how these individuals can twist and justify beliefs that have no foundation.

Yes. They use our language for themselves to make a truth claim, and then deny there exists any absolute truth claim.. This is the core of presuppositional apologetics (as opposed to classical apologetics.) You allow them to snare themselves with their own words. The Evidence Study Bible and the Evangleical Guidebook shown in the video are two resources that have assisted my understanding. They just dig a pit and fall in. And then they are more willing to be guided out.
