He was 22 I think at the time of this contest, in 2017. He has grown so much since then. I was also so incredibly lucky to have met Dimash at LAX Airport on Feb 1st. I was the only one there and had about 5 minutes with him. I feel that I was in the presence of someone who has been touched by God. Best moment of my life .

Alex I respect your opinion. I admire Lara Fabian too. I don't understand much about vocal technics. I only know that Dimash is not only voice as you mentioned. His voice is like velvet sometimes, like a hurricane, like a cry of sorrow or dispair. I haven't heard someone else with the power and tendernes at the same time. I chose this instrumental piece by Albinoni for my father's funeral, and at the time I didn't know it had lyrics. This is really bringing back memories- I have tears streaming down my face right now. My only regret is that my dad never got to hear this. Amazing. Thank you.

It’s not called singing - it’s called Dimashing. Because only he can do this. No other male singer can. Btw - he sang this in Lara Fabian’s key. When Lara first saw this back in 2017, she immediately wrote on Facebook praising him. As other people have told you, they eventually met and performed together. If the world was only allowed one singer, it would have to be Dimash because he can sing all the ranges, both man and woman, from vocal fry to whistle tone. He sings in 14 languages so far….. he can fit his voice to suit different styles, from opera, folk, pop, rock, ballads and even rap. Every song is a new surprise, taking you on a journey, singing from his heart and soul to yours. Amazing. Try Ikenaide from the Tokyo Jazz festival which is in Japanese, but you feel the story he is telling. Thankyou.

Oh, totally. Dimash is hands down the greatest singer that ever walked this earth. And guess what. After this performance aired back in 2017, a friend of Lara saw it and called her, telling her she just had to check this out. Lara was so impressed by Dimash that she called him to congratulate him. A couple of years later, Dimash was delighted to actually sing with Lara on the same stage in a trio with also Aida Garifullina, in a song by Igor Krutoy, Ti Amo Cosi. Please react to Dimash’s performance of the Armenian folk song I’ll die for the wind of the mountains, which he sang in Yerevan last month. Thank you!

Adagio on "The Singer" show is my favorite Dimash performance. He really "left it all on the stage," as the saying goes. I didn't know the song, so it took me a couple viewings to get the sense of the lyrics, but once I did, WOW. Dimash really portrays a man in heartbreak. Look how he leans on the piano to stand up, as if he's in too much pain to stand by himself. And then by the end he can't stand anymore and falls over again, exhausted. And that's just the body language. His voice rises and falls with the lyrics too -- there's too much to explain properly. And that's when Dimash barely knew any English!

I gotta say, when I first saw his face, I judged him and thought he was another kpop star w average voice. When I finally listened to him, I was immediately shocked and hooked. That was 4 years ago and today he’s still my favorite singer. Many vocal coaches agree that he is one of the best, if not the best, male singer out there.

Believe it or not but after 3 years of listening to Dimash he still grabs my soul and brings feelings. Lara Fabian knows Dimash and sang with him and Aida Garifulina in Ti Amo Cosi . In each of his songs he starts out quietly sometimes in humility sometimes in searching despair and then later as the song progresses it seems like he finds the way, he sees the light and then he finds himself at the height of almost spiritual elation! There's no way to express the depths of despair and the height of a spiritual connection. But his range and delivery are able to express this to the soul of each person.

YES, exactly this - he snatches your soul and takes you on a journey EVERY. TIME. And it NEVER GOES AWAY - even when you hear the EXACT SAME song and video over & over again... it never goes away or gets old! And its impossible to be a "casual listener", because of this. Such a beautiful person & singer, and such a versatile and HUGE musical talent such as this only comes around every 500 years or so; it's quite rare! So we are very blessed to be able to see & hear him in our lifetimes, I truly believe this.

Dimash plays at least 7 instruments. Has completed his Doctoral studies and Doctoral Dissertation in music and is currently studying Film Directing at the Los Angeles campus of the New York School of Fine Arts. He is even athletic.
