My thoughts exactly. Their business model is just like Sirius XM - ironically another satellite based service. They hide as many fees as possible, get your credit card number, take monthly payments then make it as difficult as possible to cancel later only to surprise you with yet another fee.

Those fees are not "Hidden". It's disclosed on the website and it is on the bill. Maybe "Additional Fees" is more applicable since they are added on top of the base package's cost after discount.

I have the lowest stream plan and have had it about 7 months. No hidden fees and like it way better than KZbin TV as far as Chanel line up. No contract and use Apple TVs for my devices

Great coverage of these companies that are still lying to you about out the door pricing. I thought there was an alleged new bill/law to get passed forcing companies to tell the full price, no more hidden fees, what happened to that?

Yes, you're referring to a recent FCC proposal. At this point, it's just a proposal and has to go through the federal rulemaking process. But I sure hope it happens!

I just recently cancelled my direct tv service and the person that I talked to on the phone told me that I didn’t have to return the equipment but I kept it for about a month and then I got a letter saying that I had to return all the equipment or I would get a charge of $135 a month until it was returned so be careful if you cancel any service with any company , don’t just take their word for it get it in writing whether or not they want any equipment back or not

in my area my options for satellite are Dish, DirecTV and KiwiSat. Why do I want Satellite? IpTV ruins my internet, ISP does throttling the entire bandwidth of the house the second a video streaming site is detected and more. How do the Sat TV services compare to each other?

Direct Streaming for me, yea cost a bit more, but it has all the a&e programming and others where KZbin streaming does not. Also, I like the menu guide. The heart favorite selection is easily available without going to a separate menu to select. That's only a few reasons I've gone with direct tv streaming.

With AT&T is not about cable, it goes all the way back to telco. I remember when you could NOT own your own phone and you were charged a monthly fee depending on the phone. I had Direct TV for many years and got rid of it not long after AT&T took over. I moved from satellite to Sling when it was the only bundler of streaming services. In the beginning of internet, my only choice was AT&T DSL. AT&T is a terrible corporation. In Illinois they pleaded guilty to bribery concerning landline legislation. This being Illinois the justice for the bribers comes more quickly than justice than for the receiver of the bribe who was the longest serving speaker of the House in Illinois. AT&T is the WORST and considering the cable companies are their competitors, that says a lot.

I'm getting ready to cut the cord from Uverse because it keeps going up due to not being offered anymore. I'm looking at KZbin tv and Direct Tv because of Bally sports for Carolina hurricanes. What I was considering was getting KZbin TV and during hockey season getting a separate subscription 19.99 mo then when hockey is over canceling. Thoughts on KZbin vs Direct tv stream?

I don't really have an opinion on that. I look at all of my expense categories and try to find ways to save. Auto and TV are two very different categories, so I treat them very differently.

DirecTV is being very tricky with all these different plans...but in the end the DirecTV Stream plan is a better choice with no 2 year contract and no receiver fee...and if you get the regional sports there is no fee for that...$15 receiver fee and $14 regional sports fee that almost $30 you save a month...

I usually like your videos they are informative; however, why not just come out and admit you are advertising in almost all videos for Roku? It appears quite obvious. And I do use a Roku for an older TV in my exercise room and it is a great device, not sure it is the number one device for use on TVs since most TVs sold today are either classified as "smart" or "android." Just saying....

No they still offer the old boxes for current customers. New is $120 or $5 a month. Look under your account. The problem is they are still mailing out boxes from 2020.

I called. The first receiver is included. They just changed it to Genie-Air, smaller behind the tv device like the FireStick. And as of yesterday, they also made it a 2yr. contract. 👎🏽
