As for the back story I'm imagining the kid is actually in Hell. He gets to play videogames for the rest of eternity. And every so often he is stuck brutality murdering a Robber who's in hell for kidding a kid during a failed robbery. The robbers punishment is being repeatedly killed. The kids punishment is never being able to fully enjoy his game.
