Varna is probably the best city in Bulgaria and most visits here are safe and without problems however there are some things to watch out for here and some negatives that need to be considered before your visit here
I give you Tips and recommendations of how to avoid scams and problems here
There are many videos with the positives of Varna but on this tour I explain the problems you will experience here and the brutally honest Negatives that do arise here
I show you the beautiful boulevards and some other streets down town here that look rough and are covered in Graffiti to give you a true picture of the other side of Varna

Mate , i was very curious to know the dark side of Varna :) Am from Varna and i live on the street you show. Varna does not have a dark side. Even in a gypsy Neighbourhood is not dangerous at all. On the other side the prices are very high and it is so expensive. Next time go on the Beach - CUBO. I haven`t see a fight from years :)

I have travelled throughout Europe and can say Varna is one of the safest places, super helpful people good hostels great food ... please look at this video how many people approached him? No one ? Varna is a beautiful peaceful City full of history culture and above all Bulgarian people are the best .... I am an English man in EU

👍 Bulgarian people are very friendly and Bulgaria is my favourite country for a holiday. Varna feels safe in the central area. There were other areas with lots of graffiti and my friends family think it’s is a shit hole & run down in others parts of the city. Dude, are you for real? I’ve been to Spain Mallorca , I’ve been to London too there is beggars everywhere! No one dare to ask me in Bulgaria ! I just say NO rudely and they leave me alone…

One thing to be taken into consideration is that Varna currency exchange rates are better than Sunny Beach & Golden Sands....e.g 70 levs for the hostel that you mentioned, would work out about £30, NOT £35. 😉

That’s True! Varna had a better rate than Golden S! £30 for a hostel in Eastern Eu is not cheap tho.. the Google rate is £30.60 today but you don’t get that when you change yr money they have to make something. For more of my Guided Tours from Varna & GS then please Subscribe @ Travel with Col

You get about Col, I've been to Varna a few times, never buy from shops, only water and snacks, some local bars 2levs a beer, hotel aletka with a stay or Hotel Duchess, best beach bars cubo, makalali, Beware of taxi drivers at Golden Sands they are a right rip off as is the resort, Im ok in Varna as ive friends their, glad you have videos about Bulgaria, try Sozopol and Burgas, as you know i was in Poland recently and met a guy arranging tours aswell, great bloke you may know him

I think Sunny beach has the cheapest Jet Skis. Sunny beach is cheaper for most things than Nessebar and Vlas

I would stay in place that has washer and drier in my hotel room . I wouldn't bother with a public laundromat

The vast majority of hotels did not have washing machines in the rooms.. I didn’t see any with washing machines in the rooms in Golden S and Varna.. which one do you recommend? Maybe you mean renting an Apartment?

When travelling around Bulgaria, just be careful of gypsies and black taxi drivers, if someone tries to overcharge u at a restaurant/bar/club, just refuse to pay. :)

I could not find International restaurants from India, China, Thailand, Mexico etc that’s all I was saying Vaselin. I do like Varna! Happy restaurant was Top Draw and I also liked La Boca! I go to Bulgaria every year on holiday, just got back from Burgas
