It is Taiwanese sausage, not Chinese sausage. Taiwan uses different pork than China, which may be misleading. Chinese pork cannot come to Taiwan, and there will be a fine of NT$1 million. Taiwan does not use Chinese pork, so it may be necessary to distinguish it.

I love drinking sugar cane juice, especially when mixed with green tea. In the early days, Taiwan was rich in sugar, and all sugar was extracted from sugar cane.

The spice in Roujiamuo that reminds you of home is probably cumin, which they use a lot in East Turkestan, which is where that dish is from. It's pretty surprising to hear that fresh pressed cane juice isn't sweet enough though, since it's literally what sugar is made of.

The best way to taste sugar can juice is to mix with some lemon juice. Many stores sell this item with the same price. It is really fresh.

I just wanted to point out that the sugar cane juice you had was juiced with the sugarcane skin on. If you ever see stalls that peel the sugar cane first before extracting the juice, you should try that. I think you will like that a lot more!

Fresh sugar cane juice is the best! That’s a lot of work and you don’t get just everywhere easily! If your in Thailand you’ll get cheaper one and we can’t help but have that everyday!

In China, they even call those "Taiwanese sausages". However most are fake ones with "Taiwanese" on them to sell better. Taiwanese like to use those sausages with garlic. One bite of sausage and one bite of garlic.
