Hello Dave, very sorry to see this happened to you! before you use the sand paper try to scrape off the most part with a sharp spatula or chisel, work against a ledge and push chisel toward ledge not toward your hand, after its all off, use the sand paper to smooth and resurface the flexi plate. write to us again if you cant fix it, send to Peter, and I will be sure to help you to get a replacement

You seem like a good company that cares about its customers (a rare thing these days and I know this comment is at least a year old so I hope this is still true) I plan on picking up a 3D printer this spring and I will be getting one of these plates from you

Haven't had this issue, but I'd get a bucket full of ice water and a pot with boiling water. Dunk the plate in cold water for 30s, bring it out and flex it a few times trying to crack the resin then dunk it in the hot water for 30s and move it immediately to the cold water after for another 30s. The resin should start to crack and loosen from the plate after a dozen, maybe more cycles because it shrinks/expands at a different rate than the steel and is significantly more brittle at cold temps. I wouldn't go any hotter than boiling water or colder than dry ice without knowing the full properties of the spring steel

You can also try reducing the first layer cure time to allow less adhesion. I currently use 25 seconds with a mono screen.

I had trouble with anything sticking to the build plate prints was getting stuck to the feb, I got 2 of those plates so too a chance and sanded booth sides of the build plate the printed. The item stick to the plate and popped right off so I not worry about making scratch on the plate getting that off I would use the metal scraper and sand paper and do another print

really hot water 💧softs the resin stuck on the build plate and it’s easier to clean up after with ipa.

Hi Dave. I have a wham bam flex plate with a pex lining and it is awesome. After every print i wipe down the plate with isopropyl and find my prints come straight off. I've used pla+, petg and tpu and haven't had any issues. After a while if i find my first layer not sticking, i use thinners along with extra fine (0000) steel wool, then again with a fresh extra fine steel wool with isopropyl. After a few run throughs in a circular motion with the steel wool, i thoroughly clean the surface again with isopropyl and paper towel. The key I've found is cleaning the plate right before a new print. I've never tried printing onto straight stainless steel but i can suggest if your prints won't come off, maybe place the steel plate in the freezer which should shrink the steel. The reason i know why it may come off after taking out from the freezer is I've used that method to change out the pex sheet and it came straight off. I tried removing the pex sheet without freezing the steel plate and i can tell you i would have been hacking at it all day. I hope this helps.

Thermal shock: 1 heat plate, drop in ice water, or 2 freeze plate, drop in hot water.

Get the air heat gun. When you hit up resin it becomes soft.
