@@crankymessiah1477 On the contrary... the more you learn and the better you get the more you're realize there's no end to the learning - it also opens up the chasms to reveal all the shit you don't know. Having said that, your thought process (At lease for me) will change. It'll become less about whether or not you're good at the game and more about "What did I do wrong here? What can I do to fix it?"

While this video is great, I'd highly, highly recommend slowing down your cadence. It's difficult to grasp everything you are saying while speaking so quickly. Just a tip considering a lot of players who play this have English as a second language.

Thanks for the effort, although i as a beginner did not find this guide useful. Right from the start you use way too many abbrevations and its nearly impossible for a beginner to follow you. At least some hints on the screen what each abbrevation means would've been nice. I'll probably come back though once i gotten more into the game.

Combined Arms: im trying somegthing new.... 1-scout 1-scout car 2-inf squads 1-any artillery 1-anti-air 1-tank ,or anti tank launcher. (those are 2 groups of 3.)

ya played both. I think WARNO multiplayer is better, but single player is not done for WARNO. When that is done soon it should be better is most ways.

Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses. Its aircraft that can go after AA of you have radar.

SEAD. some air defense units can be targeted by anti-defense aircraft, aka aircraft labeled as SEAD.

No, you don't build bases, you build a division, and during the game resources are allocated to you. You chose witch units to call in.

certain types of aircraft can home in missile on radar if radar is on for the AA.

not seeded. SEAD. if you look at aircraft in the game, some have labels, e.g. HE, CLU, NPLM. those labels show what the payload of the aircraft is. SEAD means it kills radar-based enemy air defenses. it's basically a one-shot if it hits. so to protect that air defense unit, you turn off its weapon.

Its a mod. There are lots of UI mods, you just cant play ranked with them on, but still can play general multiplayer.

in WARNO there many types of armies and you select one of like 20+ and make a deck out of them to play. They are adding many more down the road too. Hope that helps.

Very first video for beginners and im hearing AGTM, CNC, BTG, BBC, decks, cap flags, so you can get RFG and counter that with PPG, wtf am i even hearing what is even a deck, what is the objective of a game and how do you capture a flag, and what is a flag. I know this guide is for someone who's already familiar with a game, but damn this is completely wrong video for me as a total begginer even tho im a a StarCraft 2 expert so not a total newcomer to strategy games.

A lot of them are military terms. ATGM = Anti-Tank Guided Missile BTR/BMP are Russian APCs essentially, the abbreviation is Russian so the English translation wouldn't make sense. BMPs tend to be more heavily armoured than BTR, but for ease: BTR has gun at the front, BMP has the gun mounted towards the rear of the vehicle. APC = Armoured Personnel Carrier IFV = Infantry Fighting Vehicle Both look rather similar, but the IFV plays a more supportive role in regards to battlefield combat. The APC will have a gun, but thats mainly a "last line of defence", whereas the IFV can actively engage enemy infantry (and light vics) comfortably. This doesn't help, but my point is that anyone who is clued up on military terms/abbreviations will understand. Its not game specific.

Basically when i started up the game, and i knew that the game's objective is to capture zones, but when i sent in the units, for some reason it was not capturing, even though many units were present in the zone. And this video just frustrated me and did not help. It would be nice to start a guide with the actual objectives of a game and how to achieve them.

I am beyond terrible at this game. I have no idea what I'm doing. I feel like nothing that i attempt comes even remotely close to succeeding. To say that I get my a** kicked would be a massive understatement, in spite of the fact that i only play against AI... on Easy. But darn it if it isnt fun, and I am determined to be... slightly less terrible? This video was pretty informative, so let's see how the next Skirmish goes... (I've only had it for a little over a week and never played Wargame.)

Update: i actually won my first skirmish last night, using some of the info i had learned from this video. Granted, it was against the AI on Easy, but still... baby steps! I actually feel like i have some tiny semblance of an idea what i'm doing now! Thanks!

Something fun you can do as a bad player is to play Army Generals and have the AI control the main unit while you control air support and auxiliaries if available. When you do that, you can observe what the AI does which can help you figure out how to counter it.
