Hello and first things first, thank you very much! I have a problem here : I have a weird aliasing on the terrain geometry ; it keeps having brutal height differences between two shades of grey instead of a smooth slope, whatever I do.. even if I blur the Heightmap.png with more or less strength. I tried with the exact same brushes and values than yours (I'm baking the file after each modification, still same result with 5+ different heightmaps) I also tried to put the PNG compression to 0 and nothing changes, except my file is going from 600kb to 9mb.. I seen that your PNG file is about 4.6mb, I wonder if I'm missing something, hope you'll be able to help me ! Thanks again :)

@@tartiflett5248 Hii :3 Well I think you might have your bits wrong when you save it, it must be a 16 bit greyscale, 8 bit makes your terrain choppy if that’s what you mean.
@tartiflett524823 күн бұрын
@@MisterKnives Oh yes I also seen that you were on greyscale on Gimp, I thought this wasnt a problem, I guess this was THE thing to look after ^w^' I'll try to change this! Thank you! :3 Okay I found how to get the greyscale, I'm looking how to get that damn 16-bit format now.. And sorry, I realize now that you mentionned the 8-bit greyscale bit in the video, which I watched like 10 times :')

@@tartiflett5248 So when you are exporting your map to the heightmap file, a small new window will open with the export parameters. There is a dropdown menu where you can pick the type of bit format. It should say automatic, but you can click on it and change it to 16bpc GRAY and that should fix it.

@@MisterKnives Yea I wasnt on Gimp 2.10 so I wasnt able to choose this in 2.8. So I upgraded Gimp, put the image in greyscale, precision 16 bits, I saved with 16 bit pixel format and gave it a go : Now my river is smooth but not my mountains ^^' I merged all the layers, saved it in automatic pixel format, Gimp says it's 16 bit grey, etc : exact same result :') I bake the map each time, but I don't re-launch a generation, I guess this is only the first time, plus I tried anyway and no difference. I'll try with a brand new Heightmap, we'll see!
@tartiflett524822 күн бұрын
Okay, I just kept only one layer, re-colored the whole map with one plain color, then I painted a new heightmap on it, exported and baked it, and it worked! :D Thank you again for your time ♥ Do you have a Discord or something where you want to see what I've done ? :3

What do I do when it says « only one instance of game can be launched at a time » when trying to launch generation I even tried closing the game
@MisterKnives27 күн бұрын
Try restarting your computer. It could be steam just messing up or something. I haven’t been on warno for a bit so if there was a recent update maybe it broke the editor too if it doesn’t work after trying everything

my map still has the fog, how do you remove it?
@MisterKnives2 ай бұрын
@@mroldman_no remember: generation first, and then baking. You’ll know if you’ve baked it properly if it opens up the game with a black screen after doing the command prompt and waiting a second.

@@MisterKnives i did do generation first and then baking, but the game doesn't open up after baking

Apparently the most recent update broke the editor so I’ll get back to you soon when it’s back
