FYI the bits that seem to glitch are me speeding it up to show you things but they take some time. 😊

Hi Dave, can you do a video on how you would Warp a full track. An old skool track that may have varied tempos. I’m trying to get my head around Ableton Warping and best way to do it. Must be an efficient way to get it done.

Hi Jason It all depends on how the song was made at the time of recording and how much it moves around the tempo. Happy for you to send me a track you’re trying to do and I’ll send you a quick video back. Digitalandvinylexpert@hotmail.com

Hello Dave, the warp mode is set to beats -if you set it to repitch there will be no glitch. The time change from the original bpm will be so subtle that you will not hear a meaningful pitch change and so you can export it glitch-free and on time. Another algorythm that could work on full traks is Complex, but it glitches a bit still on the kicks when you move too far from the original bpm. I still wish ableton that is so known for the warping capabilities, could have a smooth algorythm as Traktor when changing speed on traks while keeping the tone fixed. I guess Complex is the one that is trying to achieve that, but not anywhere near as good. Thanks for the video! I also have a quick question off topic since I am going back to watch all I can from your videos on remix decks -When I first tried them a few years ago, I experienced some cliks when changing clip on them. For instance first row with a number of kick and bass loops that play different patterns from straight 4/4 beat to some rolls and some syncopated rythms. I even try to make a custom beat and test trigger them in Ableton session view -no click. While In the remix deck something happens and it cuts the sound when changing clip and I can`t get rid of the click. Known issue? Workarounds?

Thanks Janos for the message, much appreciated. Wanna send me a video of the issue in traktor and I’ll take a look? Dave@digitalandvinylexpert.com

Also, is there a way to automate the warping?
@DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert4 жыл бұрын
It actually is automated when you select warp straight, however it’s never 100% accurate if a song is changing tempo, so you need adjust it.

Hey Dave, one you warp it could you then drop it into Traktor and cut it up there also. Also I was wondering if you might consider sending me the Ableton file so I can take an up close look? Thanks Mate

Hey Yes you totally can and I would if I had warped the whole song. Sure. Do you have ableton?

@@DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert Hey dave, Yes I have Ableton... Speaking of Ableton, is there an easy way to have separate instruments in each quadrant of the Push2? In the Instrument Rack there is a little graphic of a keyboard where you can elect different instruments for different keys, but there is no little graphic of the Push so it's not clear where those keys end up...

Do you mean when you have the step sequencer at the top and the drums bottom left?
@sacconazloomian22864 жыл бұрын
@@DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert No, it's like if you have a different drum kit (or a different instrument) on every row of the Push
@DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert4 жыл бұрын
you can, it's a pain but you can. When you load a kit you will see on the left they all fit into boxes. well you can add to them

Anyone know if the remix decks be recorded to seperate tracks in Ableton? I know this can be done with the 4 main decks but was wondering if it can be done with the remix decks also.
@DAVEDigitalandVinylExpert4 жыл бұрын
Good question. I’ve only split the 4 main decks into ableton but worth a look.

My wish...Native Instruments would make Traktor into a VST that I could open in Ableton like they did with Maschine. I use Maschine vst along with Fruity Loops and Reason all at once in Ableton. The best of all worlds. The Link is so lame. Too sloppy of a sync.
