Kinda odd that they had a warp evolving SaberLeomon figure in the Tamers line, when that specific evolution only appeared in the original Adventure.

The reason why this figure was released during Tamers' English dub was because Leomon was the ex-partner of Jeri Katou in the show. He was killed by Beelzemon in episode 34.

I wonder if they made this figure for the Digimon Adventure, forgot about it until tamers and then just threw it out as it was? It's breakable parts could fit really well with greymon > metal greymon digivolving figure for example and as you know, leomon never digivolved in tamers despite being present. It's a pity because this had a lot of promise to it, well at least the leomon form is really good.

the only problem with leomon, is that every time he shows up, every watcher syncs up their deathwatches and counts every episode, till the inevitable conclusion: leomon dies. it happens almost every single time iirc

Hey Actar you actually transformed/digivolved him incorrectly that back panel that that holds his scabbard pegs into the hole in the back of his pants after you pull/extend the figure at the waist.

Also he actually has even better articulation at the ankles if you extend those as well, there are even little molded in buckles on his pants once the ankles are extended.

Wow! Thanks for the heads up! Yeah, since I got the figure second-hand, I don't have access to the instructions. The blog I referenced for the transformation, tokiteto.chu.jp/0-note-dizimon_digivolving.htm#leomon, sadly did not make use of these joints and I was way to scared to go pulling on various parts of the figure myself. (^.^') Sadly, while good to know, it doesn't really affect the overall rating of the figure.

since in Tamers Leomon dies after only 10 episodes its weird that Bandai chose to make him a digivolving figure tied to the Tamers wave. They should of just stuck with Guilmon, Terriermon, Renamon and Impmons Lines for Digivolving figures and thats that not make the other kids Digimon bar Kenta.

Leomon should be taller. Feet extend in Leomon mode. In Saberleomon mode, you extend the waste and the back flap DOES connect. My head did break as well.

Yup, someone already informed me in the comments. As mentioned in the video, I got the figure secondhand, so I didn't have access to the instructions. The Digimon figure blog I was referencing for the transformation didn't use any of those aforementioned joints and I wasn't going to start pulling on the figure randomly. Regardless, those joints don't really affect the rating much.

It's such a tragedy. Leomon, one of the most badass looking Digimon has been reduced as the jobber of Digimon, due it him, or a version of him, getting killed in nearly every series. And his jobber-ness, if that's even a word, is made even worst by being part of easily one of the worst Digivolving figures.
