Finally a good video guide on this topic on YT! I've one question though. Maybe someone can answer. Do I activate a wc stabilizer before someone disrupts/scrambled me, or do I activate it after? I think the latter but I'm not sure. Or maybe it doesn't matter before or after?
@captainbenzie3 ай бұрын
It doesn't hugely matter.

Really new to eve and was just killed in 0.4 space whilst mining. Appreciate the video in understanding exactly what happened to me!

Presuming you're mining good stuff, like Omber, Jaspet and better, I'd call back the drones with Shift+R and then just dock. You're not going to get enough time for 5,000m cubed. Someone always shows up. You can also just warp to another belt and continue.

ok in fact, you need something like ECM to blind your opponent to deactivate the warp scrambler on yourself more effective right?

or warp core stabilizers to add warp core strength (as seen in his presentation of the venture's native ability)

ECM can work, yes

Does the scan resolution -40 always apply if the warp core stabilizer is equipped or is that only when its active and running???

I'm looking to get into EVE Online, nice vid. For the record, 0 is a positive integer.

Thank you! Zero is an integer, but it's neither positive nor negative. It lacks either attribute.

Every time I say I'm going to start playing eve online I start watching tutorials and lore videos as a way of warming up. 6 weeks later I realize I'm enjoying myself and I don't even own the F'ing game 🎮

Interesting explanation. It's confusing when you say all ships without warp core stabilizers are at zero. I always said "if you got a car with an engine, you can drive, if have no engine, you ain't movin". Therefore every ship has +1 warp "engine" strength, not zero, cause saying all ships are standard at zero is very confusing and misleading. So it makes sense to me that zero means no ability to move even if you say its a positive. Zero = nothing = you are dead in space. Venture has (1) +2 and therefore needs -3 against it to be zero, which would make it dead warping in space. Much easier I'd say if your ship is at 0 speed means you can't warp.
@captainbenzieАй бұрын
But the mechanics are at zero 😅 and it's not the presence of an engine, it's about "stability". Zero is stable, no negatives in place. If your method works for you, cool, but the game mechanics are different, hence my explanation here Ships have zero stability in their Warp Core as standard, so it's a trivial matter to make them unstable.
@jason8582Ай бұрын
@@captainbenzie Well however you figure, its more confusing to think that saying zero which is nothing in reality means you have something. The number zero is the bridge between negatives and positives, being on neither side. 😖😖 Anyhow the rest of your video aside is great explanation so keep up the good work.
@captainbenzieАй бұрын
@jason8582 see, I disagree there (which is fine). Zero is neutral, which at least means "not negative". I suppose it's just different ways of thinking ☺️

Also, if you shift click a module in the sim, it will cycle the options the opposite way. That will offline it rather than OH.
