It's not that nobody wants it back. For Teen Titans the issue is that Teen Titans GO is killing it w the ratings and it brings in a lot of money so at this point CN/WB/DC or whoever's in charge would see it as a financial risk to cancel GO and bring back the original. As for Spectacular Spider-Man the creator of the show has already said he'd love to bring it back, but the issue there has souley to do with legal issues bc Sony owns the rights to that show but Disney owns the TV rights to Spider-Man as a character so they'd have to do a bunch of legal mumbojumbo that takes a lot of time and money to bring it back, so it's easier for Sony and Disney to just leave it in the past and create new Spider-Man cartoons

@baligong35922 ай бұрын
There's a Reason why Robin was introduced in Season 4, and it's because they wanted to make sure there's no ties to The Batman and Teen Titans. The "evidence" that allows people to believe they're the same crumbles by literally paying attention to the Story of The Batman 2004.
@spiderrocket83672 ай бұрын
How does it crumble then because if we look at The Batman as a prequel to teen titans there’s not much to contradict. Hell even Killer Moth having a human daughter can fit in with the fact that the Killer Moth in the Batman was once a human for an awhile and in that time could have had a daughter. Even Robins personality makes sense in That by Teen Titans he’s more trying to emulate his mentors way of leadership instead of his own happy go lucky personality that he started with. It’s only by hanging with the titans that they break him out of this slowly but assuredly
@DealsFS2 ай бұрын
@@baligong3592 The reason why Robin appears so late in the Batman is less a creative decision and more of a corporate one. Around this time DC/WB thought that if they had multiple iterations of batman characters in multiple shows and movies, that kids would get confused, so they made it so they couldn't. It's the same reason why most of batman's villains don't show up in Justice League Unlimited and why The Batman doesn't have Scarecrow and Two-Face since they were reserved for the Nolan movies.

@@spiderrocket8367 The Killer Moth in The Batman is a Bumbling fool who worshipped The Penguin, even After becoming a Moth Mutant creature (insanely different design, one of which doesn't have Hands anymore). He doesn't even have a clear family, cause everyone sees him as a loser. TT03 Killer Moth is a version that has proven to be powerful in various ways. Being actually reliable in planning, he was no fool. His daughter means the world to him, something not even hinted in The Batman. "Even Robin's personality makes sense in that he's more trying to emulate his mentor's way of leadership" - The Batman 2004 is a kind Leader who understands his sidekick, talks to them kindly and rewards them. The most "meanest" he has been is Season 3 (before Robin even met him) and it was mainly telling Batgirl to stay in School and be safe, or else He'll call her Dad. Same Batman who taught SUPERMAN on accepting Help and Teamwork. - Robin's Character Arc in The Batman is also learning to calm down, learning to move on, becoming Happy. TT03 Robin is portrayed the opposite. Even if you say "he's not always with a Temper" he still maintains it most of the time. Often, in other series, we would've called it "character assassination" or "Character Regression" for Robin's Case. For Batman, we'd call it "character assassination" or even "mischaracterisation", if they were from the same series. Funny thing: TT03 Robin being Happy-go-lucky actually WOULD make this theory stand true, considering he had to work his way into that personality in The Batman. **This is why they don't work in the same continuity, and had people paid attention, they'd realise that**
@baligong35922 ай бұрын
@@DealsFS You know all you're doing is explaining why they can't be from the same continuity, right? What happened behind the scene is the reason for the choices made in the show. No. They do not exist because of licensing issues. Insomniac Spider-Man has Avengers, Fantastic 4 and Dr. Strange. Why? Because they have multiple clear references that state they exist. @@TheSsjJoker Robins character arc in The Batman is learning to move on. Batman helps him overcome this, so by the end, he's calm, he's happy, he moved on. So making this younger Robin go back to having a Temper is a Character regression if TT03 is connected. Any Falling Out between Robin & Batman from The Batman (2004) makes Robin look stupid. That Batman ALWAYS took into consideration of Batgirl and Robin's safety, and treated them well. I feel like the answer to if The Batman & Teen Titans take place in the same universe will always be this: It can either be proven nor disproven. There are undeniable similarities, but there are definitely some points of contention. Pro same universe: 1. Robin from The Batman looks very similar to his Teen Titans counterpart 2. Fairly similar art direction. 3. We know Bruce and Dick must have a falling out at some point since Robin becomes Nightwing in the future. So it would make sense for dick to go off and form the Titans. 4. We know without a shadow of a doubt that Batman exists in the Teen Titans universe. Points against the theory: 1. It’s implied Dick doesn’t come up with the idea of the name “Nightwing” in Teen Titans until Starfire tells the group about her time, travel adventure. But in the Batman, it’s explicitly shown that he had already come up with the idea of the Nightwing persona as his video game avatar. 2. Killer moth looks very different in the Batman universe than he does in the Teen Titans show. it could definitely be a case that he mutated a second time later, but it is definitely a point of contention. 3. The few times Batman makes an appearance in the teen Titans comics he more closely resembles the vers scene in Justice League Unlimited. Notably lacking the yellow circle around the bat logo that The Batman almost always had. 4. It’s stated that Wonder Woman exists and is part of the justice league in the Teen Titans comics, despite the fact she doesn’t appear in The Batman’s version of the Justice League (though I suppose she could’ve joined later.) So I feel like for the most part it just comes down to your personal head canon is. I like to think these two universes could be one in the same, and I think most contradictions could be explained away. But I also feel like it definitely wasn’t the intention for them to be set in the same universe. The fact they flow decently well into one another is probably a coincidence.

Were the comics canon to Teen Titans or were they their own thing?
@atavious24912 ай бұрын
I think the other reason why they're not connected is simply because of the state that superhero cartoons were back in the 2000s. I think DC was experiencing some issues with character rights which is the reason why in Teen Titans, they legally couldn't even use nor mention Batman's name. I heard somewhere that the TV rights for showing Batman in any live action is not possible for TV because of something still currently going with Disney or FOX after the Adam West series ended. But Teen Titans I think was just meant to be a spin-off separate from the DCAU. The Batman (2004) came after. The Teen Titans 'Go' comic I don't feel like it is canon because of how the writers and stories feel somewhat out of place from the vibe of the actual show. It could've really just been another spin-off or side story thing that really isn't supposed to be taken that seriously that it's not supposed to be canon. Personally, I would want to think that maybe the original writers might've had a whole new story they wanted to explore with 2003 Robin from that show. So I don't consider it to be canon with Batman 2004 for the sake of hearing another and better origin to who Robin really is in the 2003 Teen Titans. Also, I don't think Mothman got remutated. That sounds ridiculous to me as his character design is completely different and doesn't look like he could be a mutant.

The Wonder Woman thing isn't that big a deal, we see both Batman and Superman join the league in the Batman series itself, where it's established it existed before Batman knew about it, so Wonder Woman easily could have joined sometime between the End of the Batman, but before Robin left for Jump city, like you said. The Nightwing one also isn't that big a deal, since the episode ends on him going "So, Nightwing, huh?", but we never see a follow through with it, so its just as possible that he's interested in the fact that he becomes Nightwing BECAUSE it's his video game persona and he likes that it wound up being cool as it is that this is the first time he's heard about it.

Both are a motorbike called the R cycle which BTAS Dick Grayson never used. Yes both differ looks wise in both shows but give or take a few years modifications come about. Also regarding the comic where beast boy was in the DCAU justice league. That was a fantasy tale and those versions in particular were an easter egg. Regarding killer Moth being designed differently. TAS and BTAS villains were designed differently too, nobody questions them being in the same universe. Also its a mutant moth, you could explain away change over time. Lastly regarding the comics. They keep the show in mind but not the other way around. Meaning they're canon is very loose.

I hate this theory, because the foundation of the theory is based on: - Absolutely wrecking the Character Progression Robin went through. The "who's the lackey now" scene is because he's new, his grievance was fresh, overtime he learns to calm down and be happy. - Any Falling Out between Robin & Batman from The Batman (2004) makes Robin look stupid. That Batman ALWAYS took into consideration of Batgirl and Robin's safety, and treated them well. Even made them cookies, and took precautions. - If TT03 Robin had learned any leadership with Batman04, any exaggeration of Anger would not be an Exaggeration... Just a Mischaracterisation. The Batman was always kind, calm, and compassionate with comrades. It was THIS Batman that taught Superman to accept Help and Teammates. Some things people say about the show, as "evidence" that they're the same continuity is off too! - "The Batman in the comic looks like The Batman from the 2004 series!" No, it doesn't. He looks a lot more like the young justice version. He doesn't even have the iconic Blue Highlights that runs down his eye. That's Young Justice Batman if anything, and that still wouldn't make sense. - "The Robin from TT03 has a Similar design to TB04!" TT03 is a DOWNGRADE to TB04! It's a Robin Suit, of course they look similar! But TB04 Had robin wearing a LONG SPLIT Cape that shapes like a Bird's Wing when he glides. This version of Robin doesn't wear Boots. One has a natural Widows Peak hairline, the other basically balding Vegeta-style. - "The producer behind TT03 Was also in TB04!" So was Sam Register in everything!!! 😭😭 I am not making a Dig on the Video Creator, but this is just a thing everyone has been saying often lately. It makes no sense! It's like saying "SM:TAS is the Same continuity as Spectacular!", No. All this theory does is ruin Robin's Arc in The Batman in favour of a Robin people wished to see a Backstory of. I wish more people did Counterarguments, cause that's definitely needed in Comic Fandom.

Not necessarily. Robin could've just left because he wanted to prove himself as a hero. If he got tired of being seen as Batman's "lackey" or sidekick, then it would make sense for him to leave to do his own thing. Doesn't mean he hates Batman. Robin would've definitely learned obsessing over the mission to such extreme degrees, even The Batman did that. So, not necessarily anger, but more obsession. The Batman wanted to do some things on his own because he didn't want to put Robin and Batgirl in harms way. Robin acts much the same. Obsessing with the mission, and really caring about his the wellbeing of his friends.

@ Someone brought this up to me in a different comment, almost word-for-word, I believe... But I will say: if you have to fill in enough blanks for an existing character, you'll end up doing the writer's job. At some point, it's no longer a Theory, it's just a rewrite. **To your second paragraph** Perhaps it may be nice if Robin did that, but the way he shows it is insane, not even The Batman has ever gone close to the length he's done. Hell, even the way The Batman expresses is merely concerned at best. Robin from TT03 might as well be malding at least. It's so much so, His own teammates thought he's going to blow up on them for wearing his outfit, not realising, he, at this point, was learning to calm down. Side-Note: TT03 suit is such a downgrade to TB04 suit for Robin. I like that TB04 suit works a lot closer to Batman, where the cape reassembles wings, and it's long enough for him to cover his body. Conclusion: They're not the same. 2 different universes that has different stories, and for Robin to go back to what he was removes all progress Batman did to make him who he is. I feel like people who strongly desires TT03 Robin to be the same is because they just want more content, so like a starving person, they started eating anything they can find just for survival. ------- It's funny though, because the same people wanting TT03 Robin to be also TB04 Robin might also be the same ones who thinks Snyderverse ruins Batman, when there's In-Universe lore why Batman is the way he is. How ironic.

I guess its similar to how Spectacular is canon to EMH and Wolverine and The X-Men
@justinarzola45842 ай бұрын
Spectacular actually isn't canon officially to EMH or Wolverine and the X-Men, Spectacular is in Earth 26496 and EMH/ Wolverine and The X men is in Earth 8096.

@@justinarzola4584Yes but it's a fun theory just like this. Also I'd honestly say, screw that. Earth designations are contrived bs that makes no sense. At least with DC, people don't have to do a Google search to remember which earth is which
@justinarzola45842 ай бұрын
@@connorharnage6697I find Earth designations very useful and it makes it easier to tell what is or isn't canon to a specific universe, I guess for those who like to theorize it can be annoying but oh well.
