The film is flawed,but in no way do I think it's bad. In fact,I think it's damn good. I saw this 8 times in the theater(7 times in 2007 and once earlier this year). Loved it then and love it now. I just wish Venom would've either been more fleshed out or saved for a part 4. But this remains the most anticipated film of my life. I followed it like a religion!

I remember 2007, I was beyond hyped for Spider man 3. I was in middle school. KZbin was still a new thing a lot of kids didn’t use regularly. I remember discovering I could rewatch the Spider-Man 3 trailer over and over again on KZbin and I did. I loved it when I saw it in theatres and still love it now as an adult. i never understood the supposed “backlash” it got.

With the third Spider-Man 3 i was expecting Raimi to use Kraven and Lizard or Electro in the film. Since raimi grew up in the 60s era of comics.

I'm sure he wanted to do those characters in later movies I can see Raimi being a fan of Kraven The Lizard was already set up it just matter of when Raimi is willing to pull the trigger so probably Kraven would be introduced in that story. Then Electro was probably waiting for a good budget to do him justice.

I honestly feel that one of the reasons people are still holding onto _Spider Man 3_ was because of this: the sheer amount of hype surrounding and also the amount of stuff left on the cutting room floor. That's why I feel so many people cling onto SM3 as some godsend. I don't hate the movie, I do appreciate it for what it is (I personally always preferred Spiderman 2, mainly because Alfred as Doc Ock was just perfect).

I love these early marketing videos, it’s wild to go back to a time when these franchises getting a live action movie was a huge deal with so much build up and everyone wondering how everything is going to look, while nowadays when they say “Galactus is in the upcoming fantastic four film” everyone kinda has a general idea of how he’ll look and there’s nowhere near as much hype as live action venom in 2006/7

I remember that the Spider-Man 3 DVD came with a trailer for this game called Spider-Man Friend or Foe. It had the designs of the Raimi trilogy, and I absolutely loved it. Didn't get to play it when it released, but did manage to do so in like 2018. Thank you for piling up this collection of nostalgia, though I was 2 years old when Spider-Man 3 released, I have very little memory of that hype era. But my parents remember that that movie was the one I was most excited to see in theaters. They told me how I kept saying the movie's title until they eventually took me to see it. Safe to say I loved it. And to this day, I'll definitely be a Spider-Man 3 defender. Yes, even of the symbiote suit. In fact, I even have a cosplay of it that I'm upgrading with puff paint. This movie means a lot to me and many others.

I totally was out of the loop when they promoted this, my stepdad had gotten a brain tumor and my mind was on other things at the time. I remember seeing the teaser trailer finally in the theater and it looked like they were going with the black suit story. Was a good surprise that I didnt see coming. Wish there was no Venom in the movie and that he was black suited spider-man for a while, like in the comics. He didnt go mad that quick...but know with movie rights, they wanted to use Venom to not lose them.

Apocalypse Sandman was one of my favorite theories, it was just so cool. I'll never forget how insane the hype for the third film was, from leaks, rumors, fake trailers, and discussion of a possible two part of the film, which I remember of that was going on which was actually my favorite memories. I also remember being at the 12:00 am premise and coming out of it being disappointed. I didn't hate it, while there were some redeeming qualities, but it's nowhere as good as the other two and not as bad as everyone makes it out to be, but it was an overstuffed, disjointed mess. Too many characters, subplots and too much going on, along with some wtf moments that make no sense. And from this day, with all due respect to Sony, but I thought they did venom dirty.

This film is overstuffed but by NO means bad. I loved it when it came out, and I still do now. I wish we had gotten more screentime for Venom but it's a minor gripe (and if you read the novelization it's so much better because it leans into Sam Raimi's horror roots). But throughout the movie the emotional core is Peter, MJ, and Harry and that grounds the film. I know Sam Raimi said he didn't care for Venom because he never grew up with the character but honestly? He made it work despite that and the black suit from this movie is to this day my preferred version.
