Image-Line have already stated in a teaser thread that warpmarkers are coming to the playlist. BUT they are recoding the mixer and the playlist first to be able to overhaul the playlist and add new features such as warping in the playlist. Reaper can do this directly in the playlist. There are some YT videos about it.

Warpmarkers was one of the reasons I switched to ableton this year. Even after using Fl Studio for years I never knew why some functions were so complicated to do, functions that in Ableton are incredibly easy to do, and this is one of them. I used Fl Studio since version 10 and I only needed to try Ableton 12 for a couple of days to switch definitely from Daw

Solution no. 4 - ditch FL, ditch Ableton, use Reaper. Best and most intuitive warpmarkers. Also, FL has to do something about all the make unique clips and routing them, the projects become so messy, so fast!

Fl does have a timewarp plugin just like newtone it has newtime that works as a time warper but it doesn't work in playlist

oh buddy buddy where is the fft(log10(fft())) ? that's all you need to derive the cepstrum. how is this even a feature if it doesn't retain the pitch/spectrum? isn't this what modern computers are for? :) srsly, just log10 the mag bins, like for a display, then fft those. the peak is the pitched bin. process reverses perfectly to reconstruct the signal. xoxos

Newtime (and Newtone in general) is very cool but their UIs are just so unintuitive, and yeah you have to "freeze" the sample everytime. Jukeblocks is super cool as always, but I'm not installing Ableton just for warp markers 😭 but at least it will make the conversion better, which I sometimes use to work with friends who use Ableton!

Also they added the preview in the browser, which is nice, but There should be some additional options, like sync with project - when hitting play the sample starts playing, 1/2 Speed or X2, changing pitch. A bit like the ADSR Sample manager does. I would love to see a update for this

dylan, the stretch button at the top left is not hidden, or has not been hidden for all the time that i have used it. Maybe they changed it in a newer version since i am lazy at updating. Once i click an audio file on the timeline it automatically goes to the tab and in my version there is just two buttons, other just says "stretch" and it is way simpler. Other button say z-cross and idk what it is. But anyway, they must've changed it in a recent version then for some odd reason.

Yeah, Newtime is the light version of Newtone, with only the rhythm-oriented features, because sometimes Newtone's re-tuning will make the sample sound strange
