I will ! I'll do a remix of it. Go to legal zoom and have them template you out a demand letter and send it to them. It's less than $100 , sometimes free. Tell them they're fixing it or you're going to court. The demand letter is the official "I'm ready to sue you" paperwork. It's more than words. Often , this is enough to put a fire under their back side. ALSO, get a dash cam !!! Then you have video proof of everything in the future.

I bought a used Grand Cherokee with 20,000 miles on it drove it to 300,000 replacing fuel pump in tank only. Would have kept driving it but a tree fell on it parked in driveway. Our local Ford dealers have alway been very different over warranties. One has a reputation for trying every way possible to deny a warranty claim while the other is picky sometimes and extremely generous at others. For example a guy had to fight a warranty denial over a failed track bar bushing because the dealer claimed the cat back exhaust he'd installed voided the warranty. In another case a guy's son had "borrowed" his Ranger and was showing off in a field next to their house and dropped the front end into a pond. He told the dealership what had happened and asked how much it was going to cost since he knew it wasn't a warranty issue. They said they'd let him know once they got into it to assess the damage. They called a few days later saying after taking it apart and cleaning it up their report says there was apparently a catastrophic turbo failure and that they would be replacing everything under warranty. Hopefully this is a case of a bad dealership writing it up as abuse and if it's taken high enough up the ladder someone will actually look at it and honor the warranty instead of taking the tech's speculation.

This is absurd...Ford is having serious issues and pushing the responsibility onto owners. The CEO admitted that warranty claims are driving low profits. And no trail riding in low range? As an avid and highly experienced offroader I call bunk. Ford commercials show these vehicles bombing thru the desert in high range and rock crawling on "slickrock" in low range (so-called "slickrock" is the highest traction surface you'll ever encounter offroad). The load the transfer case sees in low range on slickrock will far exceed what it would see in sandy soils. Push hard on the dealer...a large part of your problem is likely there...

Well, dealing with dealers are just like you stated. They’re looking at it for themselves and if anything happens, it’s your fault. We are dealing with a similar situation with a 2023 Land Rover defender that we waited 5 months for. It has been in service more than on the road! They keep repairing it and tell us it’s fine! Initial problem was the transmission shifting into neutral and then stopping, couldn’t get it to move. Another problem was a latch for the rear seat, then the steering locking up while driving, the start stop button quit working along with the remote start. Now, it’s in service after a road call with a fuel pump problem! They told us they would buy it back at 55k due to depreciation after we paid 62k to buy it!! This has all happened since April 2022! These defenders are on the market for 65 to 75k used with a lot more miles than we have on ours, 6k. Unbelievable for a 62k vehicle that it is so unreliable!!!! Thank god we haven’t had a major accident with this vehicle!!

I have a question. Is the bronco vented above the hood? Why didn't he have it in neutral at the beginning when you first started to pull him, because to me that was when he did all the damage and revving the engine in drive when you started to pull him. These are rookie mistakes, that are now on video. So the best I think he can hope for is to meet ford in the middle of the cost of a new transfer case, reason being that something went wrong with transfer case after he went through the deep puddle{ water damage on electronics} then not properly towing the vehicle. I own a polaris hilifter built for the mud and water which the bronco is not and still I had to dieletric grease all the electronic connections and the spark plugs. I have been 4x4ing for many years, and no vehicle is totally prepared for the deep water in stock form and without seeing the actual puddle, I could see from the engine bay, that he had water over the engine and I know he didn't prepare the bronco for deep water. So I would not be surprised if they saw these videos and just say no to the warranty.

They most certainly have that data and maybe saw that tow mode wasn't engaged before being towed or something that flags it as being caused by user error . If they don't have that evidence then it's just a bad dealer and going up the food chain should get it sorted out . There is always two sides to every story and we need to have some idea of why they will not cover it before jumping on the dealer or Ford overall . All honest vehicle dealerships cover things under warranty or deny them based on what they see . This happens with all brands .

If you want a real off road vehicle get the raptor, or a 85+ Toyota 4x4 4runner since you want an SUV or Just empty every pocket and get the Jeep! I like my 98 Jeep GC it has a 5.9l 360 pushrod engine, genuine heated leather seats and all that great 90's crappy dodge plastic interior and I wouldn't trade it for 2 fully loaded brand new broncos, just my 2 cents.

If it was me I would definitely get after him it shouldn't matter if it's in for low for high or whatever in for low it saves the transmission so you're not working the transmission so hard going up hills and rough terrain what not and for high you're putting more stress and more strain on the transmission and transfer case differentials all that fun stuff I have a rule of thumb where as soon as I hit the dirt road I'm in for low and in drive and once I need to shift it down I shift it down to hold that gear. Sorry I am rambling on but I think you have been done wrong I think it's just a lazy shop and if there's any way you can get to a different one I would do that and I would not let them charge you, but I would also read over your warranty information just to make sure the whole drive trains under warranty cuz it shouldn't matter what happens if your drive trains under warranty.

Really a trans tech! Any service technician worth his salt should be able to service the transmission. The real issue is having to proper tooling to do the job. The problem is that most service departments rely on the technicians to purchase the tools they need to do the job. The problem is that the manufacturers change design every year or two. The technicians don’t use these specialty tools enough to justify the investment. Also you can not write off the cost of the tools on your personal taxes the dealerships can.

Whatever the case scenario was lo/hi! It has to be warranty. It's an off road vehicle! And even if you use it regularly for that it shouldn't break unless it was a already messed up from The factory!!
@TreesOnTheBeach2 жыл бұрын
This was predictable. But still you have people defending Broncos on every forum, yelling "off-road vehicle." The truth is that it is a licensed on-road vehicle that has some capability off-road, and that's it.

Does he have 50k miles yet? ;) Obviously the warranty was denied because he used the wrong wax. Lots of base model orders have not been filled, order what you want to drive. Moral of the story, do not count on the warranty to cover ANYTHING, and be pleasantly surprised when it does. Ford treats warranty claims like leprosy.

No matter what the disclaimer documents said... I'm sure it's very misleading to everyone.... I mean they have commercials of these things being driven off road probably more harshly than you did... Why would a customer expect that not to be covered.... Because the people that actually off-road with vehicles are the minority? Lol .. The other thing about it is that the power comes on so fast because of these turbos that the torque gets really high really quick when you're in 4 low. I'm actually kind of glad I have the weakest Cherokee Trailhawk there is and I even run it with a throttle controller on the trail to make sure I don't over throttle it. 4 low is SO much power , it's insane. I hardly have to push the gas in 4 low. But I get the math behind it. You're 3x-ing the power basically. And if the power band is very steep on the engine... Boom ! I'd use a throttle controller to help you baby it. It helps. The other thing is , when I use 4 low , I'll often use crawl control to leave the computer in charge that way I'm doing nothing and the computer can baby it.

Glad I stayed away from Ford. Out of all manufacturers they have the worst reputation ..all you see if memes about Ford owners walking ...if I was Ford I would feel ashamed

You need to have a failure Analysis done on the parts. You can’t just look at the pile of parts and say that you abused the vehicle. A qualified failure Analysis person will and can show you how the failure occurred. This is an exact science. I took classes at a Caterpillar Dealership and they could show you how the failure occurred buy looking at the way the parts failed. Believe me they can tell if it was a failure from the manufacturing process of the parts. inclusions in the base materials used or stress risers from the milling of the components these can all cause failures even the tempering of the components can cause a failure. It is easier for the manufacturer to blame the customer. PS Caterpillar was very good at this and they excepted there responsibility for there failures. It was a win win for them buy looking for the truth they could learn how to improve their quality of their products.

Lmao. Remember, these new design Broncos are extremely new. Expect more problems not just from the dealership , but the quality also. Jeep had been to all of it. Imagine since 1941, still improving with Jeep. Good luck to the Bronco guys out there. It's gonna take decades of experience , there' gonna be a lot of heartaches and failures. Either stay loyal to the brand or move to the Jeep community and experience real comradery and pure happiness. There's only one, since 1941. Make America V8 again.

Wasn't Ford using Ford quality in their ad years ago,. I've read so much bad stuff about Ford an their quality control , redickulas mark ups,. Poor service, an just bad reviews. I had a 2014 Ford escape that the transmission went out, had it towed to dealer ( it was used when I bought it but I got a warranty ). When I went to check what they were going to do first thing they asked did you check the transmission I said no how was I going to check it with no way of doing so no dip stick. Well warranty company told the dealer they had a used transmission with 160,000 miles on it , no way was I going to except that my Escape only had over 67,000 miles, so I threatened to leave it on their lot an call the bank an tell them to come get it, the the shop manager told them that wasn't except able, so I got a completely rebuilt Ford transmission with basically no miles, saved me a ton of money plus I had a 2014 with a new transmission. Sometimes you just have to argue sometimes , have you tried a Lawyer yet?
