You can try all you want but communication is a 2 way street. My salesman sucked. I'll never buy anything else from that dealer, ever. Glad it's working out for you.

Hey Pete. Thanks for explaining the issue. I loved the new disclaimer at the start of the video. It brought a smile to my face just thinking how all the negative Nellies would react to it . Most of us appreciate the effort you put into your videos. Keep up the good fight and don't let the words of a few speak for the majority. Have a great day and keep them videos coming.

I would be willing to bet if you asked the Kubota dealer to do the upgrade the warranty wouldn't be an issue.

Sorry this didn’t work out for you Pete. I’ve done this to my BX, but it’s a 2012 and out of warranty. Kudos to your salesman for reaching out.

Seth Dunn thanks buddy. It’s fine, it will get done in the future. Thanks for watching as always! 👍🏽😎

They set the pressure for safety. How often are you going to lift that much weight Pete? Take your total lift capacity & minus the attachment weight. That’s what you can lift safely! Don’t want to bend the loader arms! Thx for the vids Pete!

Pete I love the disclaimer !!!!!!!!
@garrytalley80094 жыл бұрын
I would think that there is more to the specs than one considers. With a common reservoir system those hydraulics give the same pressure to hydrostatic transmissions and could have some effect there. Maybe, maybe not something to consider. But in a lightweight tractor as the BX it makes little sense to have a lifting capacity that exceeds what it can lift anyway. I could see it possibly in a L2501 or larger tractor maybe but not in a BX which is just a lawn mower on steroids that can be used for many other jobs, but very limited. Nice video to let people know the facts on the warranty. If one wants there tractor to last longer without issues it is best to stick within the specs of the tractor. You do a real good video. I enjoyed it very much!

Thanks buddy.

It might be more than loader warranty because you may be increasing pressure for the entire hydronic system. So backhoe and all fittings could be impacted and damaged. Web is full of warnings not to do this. Great videos, Pete. Keep it up.

I think that your salesman is going above and beyond to get you the best advice. A lot of those people would just let you go and do it and then you would be very unhappy if something happened right. If you need more power than the one you have. You may be should get a bigger tractor right!

My L3800 is out of warranty and I plan to do this when I get a grapple setup for it.
@sassafrasvalley19394 жыл бұрын
Today I forgot my Worktunes headphones... was using my BX to feed burning brush piles with the grapple. I listened for the hydraulic whine that everyone complains about. Heard a little of it, but not nearly as well as I can hear it in your vids.... that was from the driver’s seat. But, then I got off and had my grandson dig post holes. And, the whine was apparent. My point, the whine comes from the pump in the rear and it’s sound is directed away from the driver. BTW... I was moving 8ft green oak logs up to 20” in diameter with the grapple. Never once picked up a load that it couldn’t handle. I think the strength to mass ratio on the BX is just about perfect... it hits a balance in performance and safety that gives me confidence.
@charleswhitehead74413 жыл бұрын
Good advice to leave it as it is. Upping the pressure risks a catastrophic failure.....maybe someone is standing nearby when it happens!
@JeepinMaxx4 жыл бұрын
Pete - great follow up video! That gauge is a useful diagnostics tool. You can make a "T" fitting and watch in real time what each of your loader circuits is working with. That pressure will actually change depending on the weight in the bucket!
@kevinmakuen22054 жыл бұрын
Too much pressure can produce undesirable results especially in hydraulics , Leave it at factory spec’s. It’s safer .

Hey Pete. Great video as always. I noticed in your shop you have what appears to be some fenders for the K-Monster. Those look identical to the John Deere fenders. Will you be posting a video of installation?
@KubotaMonsterBX23S4 жыл бұрын
YES YOU ARE CORRECT. They are the JD X700 series fenders. Unfortunately they are not that easy to put on the Kubota BX, so when I have some time I have to pull the tires and see how to mod the brackets to fit. I will make a video of installation for sure. Thanks for watching .

The numbers you gave are the “recommended” manual #’s. I thought I heard somewhere 2000 is the max, for warranty coverage. It would be nice to know the actually max. Because then why not go a bit higher. Neil??
@KubotaMonsterBX23S4 жыл бұрын
I've heard lots of BX owners say they are at 2000 PSI, and some are over that. I have heard some Kubota Mech's say that 2000 PSI and below is fine... But I have to play it safe, and by the rules that Messick's gives me. I doubt 1950 PSI is going to cause any extra wear or ruin the system, but like I said, I have to follow the rules... For now anyway. I kinda have a spot light on me because of the videos lol. Thanks for the comments buddy. Much appreciated.

Travelin Thru, not sure where you heard that. A zerk broke off on a backhoe pin on my 2019 23s. Myself and the dealer couldn’t extract the broken zerk so I had to buy a new pin. Like $75. The dealer submitted my receipt and a few days later dealer called me and said a check was in the mail.

The fork attachment moves your load center way out there. This acts as a lever on the arms of your loader. You are also overloading the front axle assembly. Having worked on heavy equipment for many years now I have to say that you're equipment will not thank-you for overcapacity lifts

It’s about time you did this mod Pete you told me months ago you were gonna do it! Lol. Sorry to see your taking them out again cuz if warranty voiding. Let me tell you a little secret... Kubota don’t know NOTHING you don’t tell them.. install them, it ain’t gonna hurt nothing, if anything ever happens remove them and bring it to the dealer.. how they gonna know? They won’t as long as you have the factory shims installed and it’s in the factory order.. unless of course you already told them you did it or they see your video then I guess your kind of up poops creek with out a paddle lol. Glad to see your doing well tho buddy!

Or you could do what I'm most likely going to do and that is: trade in my BX23S (with 3o hours on it) for a John Deere 1025R which from the factory lifts a couple hundred pounds more that my Kubota. My Kubota with forks on it wouldn't even lift the front half of my Grasshopper zero turn mower with forward deck. To me that's pretty pathetic. 17" long x 24" diameter slab of oak, dried for two years, ca 't pick it up off the ground to take it to the log splitter. It pretty much does nothing that I bought it to do which is why this 2019 model year kubota still only has 30 hours on it. Most of those hours were trying to push snow which it allows doesn't do well since you can't steer it while pushing snow!

Manufacturers will find any reason not to pay a claim. This is really beyond the dealers control nor would it be reasonable to expect a dealer to risk losing their dealership/franchise for not playing by the company rules. Think of Ford and the 2003 6.0liter diesel fiasco, they pointed @ international & vice versa, then when that didn't go anywheres they dumped on truck owners right up until the courts forced fords hand. You really can't expect me to pay for your fun now can you? Im not anti mod by anymeans just use more discretion and patience you'll get there. The previous is a combination of personal experiences and opinions and if this offends you TFB. Pete, Keep the videos going Ur doing a great job.
